Save those rice cookers . Time flies very fast. I probably had about 3 rice cookers stashed and forgotten . Then my kid and nephews went to college, wanted to live away from the convenience of home, needing rice cookers . They cost many times more, quadrupled in fact (the tags showed).

I would love 4 rice cookers especially the TIGER BRAND. They are The best rice cookers on this planet. AND THEY STAY ON till you unplug it on off it HOT RICE ON DEMAND ALL THE TIME. I wouldn’t be complaining If one breaks you got 3 as backups not to mention THEY ARE EXPENSIVE. And if you gave them away you definitely weren’t thinking. I grew up with tiger rice cookers it’s my moms FAVORITE BRAND. Way better then the cheap WALMART BRANDS.

Tiger Rice cooker is one of the longest lasting rice cookers to date. My brother in law has a tiger cooker from almost 20 years ago. It might be a bit pricier to purchase at first but it’s a housewarming gift anyone in my family would love. Also, you can literally leave your rice on warm for two days at it will never go bad.
The top won’t dry out or get wet spots and the bottom won’t get crunchy. It’s definitely worth your money.

I think the rice cookers were more of a “Hey, you’re just married, enjoy spending time with each other, while the rice cooker will make you food” type of a gift. Or, at least, I would take it that way! 😅

Wedding gifts as kitchen item are common in my country it's an old culture where parents send their daughter to his husband's house with all the items like clothes, jwellery, kitchen items and a bed.

The rice cooker is a luxury gift. Custom in my neck of the wood is money to the new family. If you want to throw another gift in that’s extra nice

I am Hmong and my whole extended family buys Tiger rice cookers too! It must be an Asian thing, plus it’s a very good brand!

My parents had theirs for 20+ years. They finally got a new one just a couple years ago as a gift.

Tigar used to be the top brand name for rice cookers between 1970tues and 1980ties in Japan. Currently, 2022 top rice cookers in Tokyo are zoojirushi, Sharp, iris oyama, HITACHI and Panasonic.

Ok so thanks for doing the rice cooker work for me because I’ll spend hours looking through reviews. Yours was enough lol and I’ve always wanted one.

I think it'd be tastier(also as per instructions I believe) if you fry the green paste in the oil with aromatics.

Nawww…a hint that all us Asians eat a ton of rice (daily for most of us), and someone just figured they’d give you something practical that you would likely use…😁👍..
