As someone who works at Target, I can honestly tell you that no, the Target parking lot is not empty on Thanksgiving. It's never empty on Thanksgiving. It's very full. And then the doors open and the herds of wildebeest come stampeding in, and you wonder if you can cross the aisle without being flattened into a Mufasa pancake. No one stays at home to argue about politics over dinner anymore. They come to Target to argue with us about the prices of already cheap items.
