Anyone who worked with the ANA would not be surprised how quickly Kabul fell

I'm a vet. I'm for a strong military. But we need to keep our noses out of 90% of every the world's problems. In the end both sides hate us. And QUIT giving our tax dollars to other countries. We have our own needs right here.

Afghanistan not only ranks number one as the worst country to be a woman in, but the worst country to live in PERIOD. The human rights violations and atrocities are horrifying

Instead of us continuing to fight a war that was no longer continent to us Americans, maybe the people of Afghanistan should have fought back against the Taliban instead of fleeing like a bunch of cowards. The fact the Taliban regained control as fast as they did is a slap in the face to all those who lost their lives or came back physically and mentally scarred. The "men" of Afghanistan should be ashamed of themselves.

Afghanistan wants to live in the stone age. 20 years US forces held Iraq and Afghanistan and neither wanted to defend itself from sharia law. So be it, leave them in their archaic ways.

I feel sorry for the women and innocent children trapped there.

Even without the US, Afghanistan is still in a war. War against the Taliban, a silent war against Pakistan and Iran, a war against Islamist extremist, a war against women and so on. XD

I am a U.S. Citizen and I feel that our government needs to get out of the “nation building” business. I can understand the initial invasion into Afghanistan to destroy al -Qaeda but we should have left after that. The U.S. has a horrendous record in nation building. It didn’t work in Vietnam, it didn’t work in Somalia, it hasn’t worked well in Iraq. Since WWII, it hasn’t worked anywhere. They go in and try to create a democracy, enact DEI policies, and train a militia with little regard paid to the culture. Not every population wants a democracy and DEI policies often run counter to their culture. So the U.S. should stay out or offer help from a distance. And we also need to reform the asylum system. Too many asylum seekers come here because we treat them better than anywhere else. But we cannot relocate all of the asylum seekers here. The US is not the only country on earth. Let the asylum seekers go to other countries for awhile so that we can properly take care of those who are already here.

Lets be honest, in that part of the world... it's ALWAYS going to be horrible. Thats their culture. Period.

American Imperialism? Reactionary, yes, but, the US did not try to annex the territory.

The Afghanis could have faught for their freedom, but they decided to permit the Taliban to takeover the country instead... They made their choice.

No sympathy. Afghans had 20 years to build a solid and stable country, they chose to back the taliban. Enjoy your choice

How are you blaming Trump for the withdrawal chaos? Your bias is showing
