70s Radio Hits on Vinyl Records (Part 2) - UNEDITED VERSION

When we first posted this video back in September of 2022, we still had the optimistic goal of making revenue from the YouTube videos we produce. However we have discovered over the years that we do not qualify for the copyright exemptions enjoyed by traditional musical platforms. We decided at the beginning of last year that we would exchange the expectation of financial reward with the already attained, tangible reward of receiving likes and positive comments from our loyal and appreciative viewers. In that spirit, we are re-posting this 70's Radio Hits show in its original unedited form. The four songs that had been removed due to lack of monetization potential can now be enjoyed. We have also added the song title and artist names at the top left of the screen as we do with our recently produced videos.

Mahalo for your ongoing support and your wonderful showing of aloha for our channel!

This video is the second of three shows digging into the polyester decade of the 1970s. In this installment, Z-Bear delves into the Radio Hits that showcased the migration of Classic Rock from the alternative FM and college radio stations to the mainstream AM ones. This era was well known for the birth of the personal listening device. The great grandfather of the iPod was the AM transistor radio which allowed pocket sized portability of music for the first time in history. Even though listeners also enjoyed other styes of the era such as Disco and Funk, Rock really dominated when it came those small carry along radios.

Enjoy the retro tunes and mahalo for watching!

I worked as a disc jockey at the local AM radio station as a teenager, and weekend nights they gave me complete control over the music I chose to play from an extensive vinyl record library they had in house. It was the best time of my life, before the world turned to shit.

Does anyone remember driving with the windows open blasting AM or FM radio and at the light someone pulls up and has the same station on. You lock eyes and instantly a big grin comes up on both of your faces at the realization that you are both rockin' to the same tune and you drive off and maybe think 'What a great country. So many countries prevent their people from even hearing Rock n Roll. We are blessed.

Goodbye Stranger was played at my besties funeral recently. Her name was Mary Jane. Your musical choices are right on to keep me in a good mood dealing with cancer. 1971 HS graduate.

There was NEVER a greater era of music and NEVER will be again! The coolest cars! The best music! The best keg parties! The best looking women! Man, what a great time to grow up! So blessed to have been a part of it! Nothing against the girl selecting and spinning the vinyl but, anyone could select a hall of fame line up just randomly selecting any music from that era! She's doing a great job! It amazes me how many YOUNG people around the world listen to and know the music from the 60s, 70s and 80s!!! It's fantastic! I know what I will be listening to for my dialysis treatments three days a week and four hours per treatment! Frickin awesome!

I acquired old music system from my old high school. A friend was cleaning out storage rooms and was about to throw them away. I asked if I could have them and they gave them to me. Two turntables, amp and a large box of over 300+ 45 records from the 70s and 80s. All in mint condition. This was 23 years ago and I'm still enjoying my records. What a treasure. Your site brings back fond memories of my youth. Keep up the good work.
