Mahalo everyone for all of the love you have given our videos recently especially this Radio Hits series. It has been so wonderful to get encouraging comments from all around the world. Your kind words and positive vibes have motivated us to dive back into our record shelves to create new episodes starting with this 60s spotlight.

This show features a mix of Pop, Rock & Soul from the latter half of the decade. Radio stations back in the 60s used to broadcast for the masses so they would chose songs with the most universal appeal. This lead to a diverse mix of different genres and styles every day. Unfortunately genre specific FM stations moved away from this diversity, a trend that continues today with internet radio and streaming services.

Enjoy the tunes and have an awesome week!

Even though I'm only in my late 30s you hit a core memory with "Tell Him" - my high school best friend had a 60s girl group mix on cassette she would play all the time, I haven't heard this song since I was about 16-17! Music really does take us right back to a moment in the past doesn't it? 😊

I love watching the girl enjoying the music as she spins the tunes.

There are so many fakes on the internet playing old classic rock using covers. It's great that we can count on Villa Vybes Vinyl to always use the original artists. Thanks!

I was around when this music was playing on the radio. Even so, you're the best DJ of the genre. You make it about the music, not about you. And you play songs that I don't hear anywhere else, and many great non-hits. Thank you!

(This is Tom, not Sandra.)
Hello!!! It has been a long ago since l've heard an all 60's radio station. Thanks for posting your show online. In the 1990's, l had a radio show on Color Radio over Cable TV in Richmond, Va. called: "The Colorful Puddles Show" where l played all 1960's hits. I really miss those days!!!! Thank you for keeping the 60's alive, Mam!!!! Great video!!

I was born in January 1957 on the sixth to be exact
That’s the last time Elvis Presley was on its Sullivan and they only showed him from the waist because he was of course Elvis the pelvis
I grew up with all of this music
I turned 13 the first week of 1970
This is the soundtrack of my life and if most people don’t know this back in the 60s, most of this music was on
AM radio 🎉🎉🎉
It wasn’t until the very late 60s when the a.m. stations wouldn’t play songs any longer than about 3 1/2 minutes that the underground FM radio stations came to be yes I am that old but I’m the coolest grandma on the block😂😂😂

You know what be awesome...if you would play the B-side to those 45's. There was often good tunes from that side...
As Dr Hook once said..."listen to the second side of the album...(the rest goes ) Tomorrow you got big loops under your eyes"
Great tunes...keep grooving darling...and remember "don't let them tell you you can't dance"
