Just made a big upgrade on our 460 Big Block Ford with a set of @EdelbrockUSA RPM cylinder heads from @SummitRacing —292cc intake ports, 100cc exhaust ports, and 75cc combustion chambers for serious flow. And to keep it all locked down, we added @arpfasteners new head bolt kit with 8740 chrome moly material, boasting 108k PSI of tensile strength. Getting this engine ready to roar #EnginePower

On my build I spent $1, 500 just on ARP bolts. Engine runs great. ARP bolts are worth every penny

Reminds me of the sign that hung in the local hot rod shop when I was growing up: "Speed cost money. How fast do you want to go?"
There was one other sign: "Pay me now, or pay me later."
Lol

I love me some BB fords 429, 460 they can be stretched out and make some big power NA. Jon Kasse has some incredible heads that really take advantage of big stroke and big cam

Please! Is the little impact gun that necessary? Can we just build it by hand ? I feel like it wouldn’t take any longer and you would feel it there where and burrs in the threads.

Love seeing good mechanics destroy perfectly good blocks with impact and other electric tools 😂

I, chase prepared bolts with 3/8, speed handle in, sequence for memory 😂not every one needs a screw driver 😂only a movie or soap opera 🎉bye

I don't trust an electronic torque wrench when used too quickly. Can give false peaks, false final torque. Someone probably disagrees but beware!

I don't think that's something you should be rushing through

Helped build a few of them right up to 545.

Those head bolt heads have washers built in, I don't see any lube which invariably squeezes out when the bolt is tightened. I've watched enough of your videos and have been a professional tech for over 45 years. That's plenty enough time to recognize clowns when I see them.

My bolts are so old, they came from AARP.

I can tell everyone right now. You do not torque your bolts straight down like this.
When l tighten, l will do bolt up finger tight, then do half turns in order until its torqued.
Same when undoing head bolts, l only crack the nuts before undoing fully saves having cracked heads sometimes.
I get a great seal everytime doing it that way

Yet they didn't leave the old heads and or intake on to paint it. You generally don't paint aluminum heads because it interferes with evaporating heat🙄.

Starts a bolt with an impact… tisk tisk

Strange I don't see the APR bolt lubricant on the washer with the head of the bolt. What I do see is your not following your own advertising practices. 😊

There is so much done on this show, that you should never do.

You can’t run them in with an impact and then expect them to torque to spec correctly
