Have had a 77 f150 with a 429 cammed out and stroked. Love these big blocks in the 70s models. They never get old, just better looking

IMHO, '73-'79 F-series Fords were the best that Ford ever produced. I've done many with 460 engines. '69-'71 460, Lincoln/Thunderbird engines are the best to use. 360 HP from the factory. Finding them are easy, and cheap, too.
