You don't have to take the bumper off to get to the throttle body. You just gotta take intake tube off and the battery and battery tray out.

I Got a 2011. We got it from a couple, not sure how well they serviced it. But all of a sudden the gas pedal when stepped on as if the car barely drove, RPM was higher than usual. Then we turned on the ignition and a weezing and strenuous soud.

I had the same problem with my Jeep Compass and I had to replace the throttle body and the crankshaft position sensor

Exactly what is going on with my jeep but now it’s not pulling.

You can do a relearn to try and fix it. I had the traction control light come on too. I was on the brake and the throttle spiked up then it came on. I also have the random stalling issue and no code, and did the crank sensor twice. Im leaning towards the electronic throttle body like you are. I did a relearn and it helped. After a few months it started doing it again so now im just going to try a throttle body.

Throttle body stuff is a pain I got a new one after getting it cleaned and been having issues still leading to sensor issues that I now have to get checked out. My car been in and out of the shop for a year. I love my car but man I’m tired of always having to pay for stuff

Check the intake manifold gasket, do a smoke test

I had an similar issue i replaced the throttle body and crank shaft, but that didn’t do it, it might be the camshaft that needs to be replaced

The module will cause random shutdown .
Iys a common problem with that model .
It gets hot and then it shuts down the engine .
Look it up jeep module that causes random shutdown .
But I hope you git it fixed .

Bigg problem on those things.
This Is the main cause of random shutdowns on jeeps .
2007 to 2018 models .
