In this video I test the new LSFG 3.0 mode from Lossless Scaling version 2.13 that was just released 10th of january. It is absolutely mindblowing! I think DLSS 4 has some competition now.

From 60+ native FPS is recommended for LSFG to work the best (but 30 also works)

SETUP guide:
Games must rum Borderless Windowed or Windowed.

Set framerate cap on the game somewhere below the systems maximum point to give the GPU a headroom for LS frames. Set framerate limit to off for LS in Nvidia control panel.

Sync mode off

Using NVIDIA logic, your laptop RTX 4080 is now 5x faster than a RTX 5090 now. Impossible without frame generation.

That aside, I'm really loving this update to Lossless Scaling. It has reduced artifacing and latency issues.

Its amazing i was using AMD frame generation (AFMF 2) before in helldivers 2 for example (100 to 200) fps but now i ran at higher settings with LSFG 3 ( 60 to about 200 fps) with less latency and it feels much more like actual 200 fps. Past X3 and X4 there are too many artifacts but its still fun to test out 20X in overwatch at 1200fps with my pc hallucinating lmao

I got an rtx 4060 laptop that gets 160 to 180 fps in fortnite Ranked reload average. Turning my resolution down to 720p and upscaling to 1440p, while using 8x frame generation. I now get on average 735 to 850 fps ingame. Latency isnt rlly that noticable cuz i played on it an extended time to get used to it

In conclusion, through NVIDIA's logic. My 4060 laptop gets more fps than a 4090 desktop

This works great for my thinkbook 16 with 7530u igpu zen 3. My prefered configuration is locking the FPS to 30fps globally(all games) in AMD adrenaline software, then run games in windowed mode at 1600x1000 resolution native. Then using lossless scaling I set framegen to 2x(60fps) and scaling to lsr1 with sharpening to full screen 1200p. All games run at high settings with this stable at barely any fps drop.
720p pretty much guarantees no fps drop, but a lot of games does not have enough details rendered to scale it looking detailed. It feels a bit blocky.

Can you make a video focused on only the upscaling side? Like use the lowest resolution available for a game in windowed borderless mode and use lossless scaling to upscale to fill the screen.

their only issue is the halo issue it occurs at x4 and above but not at x3 or x2

This app has been incredible for a while now, but I think the 3.0 algo is just worse than 2.3 in some cases..
Immediately obvious to me that the halo around the object is a lot bigger than before, it wasn't so noticeable before :/ I'm glad you can still select 2.3. It's much more performant, however. Great video!

I don't recommend this software to run classic resident evil 2, 3 because it makes the game choppy and teleport character instead of making it smoother.

I have a question, i disabled vsync but always limits at my monitor Hz. Howndo you get 999? I know its weird if i dont have a +hz monitor, but its just for testing on all my pcs and legion go and rog ally. ❤️

1000 fps which you can't see (because you don't have a 1000hz display) and can't feel (because of a frametime like it's 60 fps). Wow, that's insanely useless, I'm impressed
