"Motivation is for people that don't have a meaningful mission. Discipline is for people that are clear on their identity of who they want to become and the mission that they have that is meaning for them. Not only for them, but for those around them" - Lewis Howes

I feel like these past few months have been changing my perspective on how I view the world that I’m currently living. For the longest time, I kept thinking about how I can finance myself. But then I started thinking about how I could pay for things for my friends and help my family out whenever just because I’m able to. That to me seems like a more valuable life than to just waking up serving myself. Life is so much more than just me. It’s about helping people grow into a beautiful version that they see in their head.

I love the conversational nature of this interview. It wasn’t just Jay asking Lewis a bunch of questions. It felt more like sitting in on a conversation with two wise friends and getting the chance to see them get what they needed from each other while getting what we didn’t know we needed. Lol

Wow. What a powerful conversation! I will definitely be running this on repeat. I walked down the aisle knowing deep in my gut it was the wrong thing to do. But I did it because I felt the pressure of letting people down…. So it was far easier to betray myself. After 20 years of a toxic, abusive marriage I have been in a six year court battle to get divorced. This experience has taught me the grave importance of living life with a clear understanding of who I am, what I expect and where I’m going. Many thanks gentlemen for all that you contribute to this world. 🙏🏻💫

You guys hit the nail on the head...the fear syndrome is what binds us. We carry this baggage from past experiences with people whom we wrongly perceive as better than us. Time to fix this. Thank you Jay and Lewis. Sometimes we just need to hear it.

I'm currently experiencing a very similar path to both of you. I'm in a setback. However, I know it's part of the process and the growth. The lessons learned have been tremendous. I feel like I'm in the spring. I've put in a lot of psychological and therapy work to overcome my past traumas, to live truth to myself and to reach my goals. It's a great feeling to be at this point.

Learned quiet a bit from you two.
That fear of disappointing people, earning peace, entrapping self to aboid faving the fear of letting go a relationship that isn’t right for you…. I have been trying to help a friend who has that issue. An empath who always gives and attracts users. Appreciate your perspective.

I listen to you both religiously but today I was thinking of my 26 year old son as I listened and how your book, Lewis, is like preventative medicine. He has not yet experienced much of what you mentioned, but why not prevent the hardships by educating oneself through someone else’s experience.
Just bought him your book. Much gratitude.🙏🏽

This interview created so many sparks in me. I resonated with Lewis regarding intimacy and relationships - understanding repeating patterns. The rest was such a gift to hear and is in practice. Thank you so much for this work!
