Hi Innorative, Just finished watching the video and you were very detailed and easy to do at home. I would love to add my 2 cents, maybe it can add a perspective to this topic. Some of these house hold items will clean Gold/silver very easily, but because of the chemical and PH in the products it can have harmful side effects of the metal and the gluing if your jewelry has diamonds or gemstones attached.

How and why a polish(abrasion like you use with the toothbrush works. It uses abrasion to remove layers of metal on the superficial layer.This is why it becomes shiny because it is exposing the layers underneath that had 0 contact with sulfides and oxides in the air. But removing layers of metal also means damaging the watch you are cleaning in the first place. For people using this on expensive jewelry, or jewelry they care about it can become dangerous.Polishes in general are bad for use. I Personally use and recommend Coat & Shine jewelry Protector and Cleaner. which does not use abrasion, cleans all metals as well as using nanotechnology to create a protection layer that prevents the exposure to oxides keeping the watch shine lasting longer.
