As a Jewler I thought it tell a secret.
Use plain old soap.
Much less abrasive on everything, can't hurt soft stones like opal.
A plus is that it leaves a thin film on the jewelry.
In sterling it stops tarnishing for months at a time.
Gold doesn't need a lot to clean.
Accumulated dirt washes or nicely with soap, then buff.
I do not use chemicals on items with stones already mounted.
Those chemicals can put an end to the stones.
Need be, use a soft toothbrush to get at it.
I don't clean jewelry for customers.
I give them this recipe.
They love me for it.
I don't have to stop everything to clean a ring.
Win win.

Toothpaste is extremely abrasive & will scratch jewelry, but that hot blond can polish with whatever she wants. So this video gets a thbs-up.
