The Bible never says to choose to repent and believe, it commands everyone to do it.Of course what we see is that when the gospel was preached in those early days, when they were told that Jesus(God in flesh) died for sinners and rose on the third day, that either people believed it or they didn't, there was no choosing to believe.All who believed this incredible story, believed because they were the sheep who Jesus died for.Jesus laid His life down for the sheep only, not the goats, wolves or tares.

2tim 2:15 tells us not just to read the bible but to study the word at deep levels enough to reprove others by it.
2tim 4:2 tells us to learn at such a level that we can teach where people are in error.
titus 2:15 indicates that teachers become teachers so that they can use the bible to divide error from what is right.
We can't be settled with a superficial reading of a daily portion, we must "prove all things", checking to "see whether these things be so."

Friend, it was Peter who told an already confessing and repented man, an answer for something that HE was enquiring. What Arminians do is tell people to believe. What the bible tells us is to give an answer for the hope that is in us to them.
In other words, answering the question with, "Believe."
Is not the same, as commanding someone to start, "Believing."
We can't convince a person to start believing, but a person already desiring to come to Christ can believe [commit / conform]

@droptozro Please study the following term, "ordo salutis"
It sounds like your position is the ordo salutis of arminianism, but what this video is trying to convey is a Calvinist ordo salutis.
The focused difference it seems you are implying is that a person must possess repnt. and fth. before God will respond with pardon.
This video conveys the fact that God renerates to the availability for the gospel to take effect. The Holy Spirit opens the heart mind and ears to receive the gospel.
