I had a positive blood test for pregnancy, but a negative home test. Which test is right?

So my wife missed her period and had pregnancy symptoms and took two urine test and came out negative but the second test she took she was telling me she almost 100 percent sure she is pregnant and we went to the doctor got blood work done and it turns out she is pregnant. Doing ultrasound next week.

I didn’t know It could take up to five to six weeks from your last period for a positive result, this gives me much more hope ❤️

My first pregnancy I was pregnant and took like 7 urine tests only for them to be negative but I miscarried at 2 months, not long after, I got pregnant again took 3 tests, negative but miscarried again! 3rd pregnancy took another urine test and negative! I know I'm pregnant and reluctant to get blood work done especially since the first the I got blood work to confirm I was pregnant not realizing I miscarried the day before. I feel like urine tests are honestly useless! My gynecologist and ER said I'm super fertile, cervix, uterus and ovaries are healthy too! I just know I don't this baby to go. I will blame myself

Well, I'm about 20 days late for my period, by my maths I must be 3 weeks preg at this point and I already bought and done so many urine test and they all end up being negative. In regards to symptoms I get nauseated sometimes, I've been tired and sleepy and dizzy...

If a blood test is more sensitive then why is it every doctor I’ve been to insists on the urine ones? I thought urine ones can sometimes give a false negative because it’s too diluted or at the wrong time of day?

This is what is happening to me right now. My urine pregnancy test is negative but when I had serum pregnancy test, it says positive 😅

So this week my daughter had a pre op blood draw. They called to tell us she was pregnant if it were any other child we would be estactic however this daughter is having her procedure because of a complications due to ESRD (End stage renal disease) pregnancy is not an option for her. She knows this and knows she will need a surrogate to carry her already harvested eggs. We told them she isnt pregnant for 2 reasons, one she has an iud and the second is she hasnt had sex since breaking up with her boyfriend over a year ago. Shes 23 btw and i dont care that she is sexually active none of our kids are virgins and are all over 21 so what they do is their business. They ordered another blood test and it came back positive too. Of course they believed the test over our arguments. They said they would cancel the procedure because they didnt want to take the risk, i get that, but not having this procedure will put her life endanger so i asked if an ultrasound would be good enough proof. They agreed and we were vindicated. There was no pregnancy detected on the ultrasound and surgery is tomorrow. Now we will try to figure out what is causing the false positives but it was very hurtful for my daughter for people to look at her like she was a liar.

I did pregnancy test few days ago and other day urine test all came back negative. I'm now 4/6 days late. Cervix is still high but soft and it tilted. But I did a blood pregnancy test and came up with faint line and still there now. Should I do another urine test or wait few days to a week and try again. Been trying get through doctors all morning to see if I can book myself in for bloods test

10 weeks had some bleeding not a lot for a pad or panty liner. Just when I wipe went to OB said well your pee test came back negative. Asking me was I sure that I am pregnant . I said yes I have test and blood results that I waited to get . Since I’m my family all the women had to get blood test to actually confirm. They wouldn’t do ultrasound said it be to much money.

I just need clarity . Anyone experience this ?

July 12 (value 29) and clear as day pee at home test. Then now August 19th pee test negative? But the results I got back were not clear made no sense to me . Said “normal”

My cycle was 3 days late and only spotted for 3 days which is not normal for me not sure if cycle is changing or what changed it but some pregnancy test were faint line now all negative

I’v been in menopause for over 3 years now and tested positive in hospital for pregnancy. They re-tested again and it still came up positive. They did not therefore want to carryout a procedure that I came in to have done in the uterus. I was sure that I was not pregnant and insisted the results were wrong. They then did a blood test, which came up Negative. They then decided I was not pregnant and went ahead and carried out the procedure. Does this prove that the blood test is more accurate or were they taking a risk accepting the blood test result over the urine??

I had sex a day before my period but still got it and also got the next one.... All tests blood and urine are negative with no signs of pregnancy but experiencing hardness and bloating in my tummy??
