No one continues the circle in their tutorials!! They always end after the first row and I’ve been trying to figure this out for the longest as a beginner, so thank you so much for explaining this so clearly 😊

As a beginner, this is the first video that actually made sense. I was so excited when I successfully made a circle for once lol. Thank you so much!

Your instructions were the easiest I could find to follow and I could see the yarn clear. I'm glad I found your video :)

Rule of Thumb (Rounds go by 6 FYI)

———————————————————————

~ Round 1 ~

• 1 x 6 = 6 (so 6 stitches)
• 6 individual single crochets (US
terminology)

~ Round 2 ~

• 2 x 6 = 12 (so 12 stitches)
• Repeat 6 times:
• 2 stitches per 1 old stitch (an old
stitch is a stitch from the previous
round)

~ Round 3 ~

• 3 x 6 = 18 (so 18 stitches)
• Repeat 6 times:
• 2 stitches per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch

~ Round 4 ~

• 4 x 6 = 24 (so 24 stitches)
• Repeat 6 times:
• 2 stitches per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch

~ Round 5 ~

• 5 x 6 = 30 (so 30 stitches)
• Repeat 6 times:
• 2 stitches per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch

~ Round 6 ~

• 6 x 6 = 30 (so 36 stitches)
• Repeat 6 times:
• 2 stitches per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch
• 1 stitch per 1 old stitch

———————————————————————

Basically for each new round you do, you add the extra step “1 stitch per 1 old stitch” to the repeating pattern

okay so I'm 14 and my abuela loves monitos, she's been having quite a bit of health issues and has become a little lonely. So I've been meaning to make her crochet dolls. I never understood any tutorials or patterns anything until I came across this. I'm being 100% right now, thank you so much ma'am! This isn't as hard as it seems

I’ve been a so so crocheter for 50 years. Recently picked up again upon retirement. Thing I could never get was the magic circle. You were so clear I immediately understood. You went beyond to explain increasing. Thank you

I know this video is 6 years old, but I am SO thankful for you! Your slow, clear instructions helped me understand how to count stitches and how to find the first stitch after you close the magic ring. Thank you so much!

You know what I’m going to say, right? I finally got it!! I’m so tired of just seeing thumbs in these tutorials! I could clearly see what you were doing. Bless you. I don’t feel like a complete idiot anymore. (At least in this skill) 🙂. You are good at this!

I have never crocheted before, and I accidently bought a non beginner friendly kit on accident. I have been teaching myself through YouTube videos, and your video has by far been the most informative and easy to follow one that I have watched. I picked it up just like that and can now crochet much faster. Thank you!!!!

THANK YOU!! I’m new to crochet and I’ve been trying so hard to do this for 3 days now. I’ve had probably 15-20 failed and rippled attempts. But you explained it in a way my brain could finally understand and I actually made one without ripples! Thank you ❤️

Thank you so much for this video! I just got a pattern but as a complete beginner I was utterly confused on how to completely double each stitch, however this video shows me how to do it! Thank you again!
