I would like to add though, he mentions at 4:15 that while many people feel like the mouse wheel zoom is backwards, you simply have to accept this as a fact and get used to it. This is not the case; it only took me a few seconds to find the setting to reverse the zoom control to feel more natural and comparable to AutoCAD.

Just click Tools - Options - View - select “Reverse mouse wheel zoom direction” - click “Ok”

This is absolutely a matter of personal preference, but if you’re switching back and forth between different CAD softwares, this will make your life a lot easier!

You don't have to get used to the zoom scrolling the wrong way, there is a setting that you can toggle the direction so it zooms the way you like. You are a good teacher, thank you.

After I extrude my part I cannot see the part itself although its shadow is present and I see the wireframe of it when I hover over it. I have the display style "shaded with edged" selected. Why can I not see my part?
