Easy Grandma's Meatloaf

Where's the seasoning my friend?
(I add an egg per pound of meat 🥚)
My recipe:
3 pounds ground beef AND 2 pound ground pork, veal, turkey or chicken.
3 diced green peppers, 1 large onion, Ritz butter crackers crumbled, plain or Italian bread crumbs. I also add fresh loaf bread (about 4 slices pulled apart fresh bread. A couple squirts of ketchup to the meat mixture.
I add a 1/3 cup of milk or heavy cream (moisturizer and tender)
Season to taste...
Seasons I use:
Lawry's seasoning salt
Garlic powder
Onion powder
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
2 tsps Black pepper
3 tbsps minced garlic or squeeze garlic (to taste)
Worcester sauce (a few dashes)
I wait until I have added all the above ingredients before I start mixing everything up together. Mix everything just enough but DO NOT OVER MIX YOUR MEAT MIXTURE !!! If you overmix it will be dense and tough instead of juicy and giving.
I make a space around the meat to allow space for the natural juices to produce. * Make sure your baking dish is deep enough to prevent overflow juices****
Bake on 350° covered about 1 hour and 15-20 minutes depending on your oven.
Topping:
Mix ketchup, bbq sauce, chili sauce and a tablespoon of grape jelly ... yesss grape jelly. 😊 the ketchup mixture goes on top of meatloaf, uncovered the last 15 minutes of cooking.
Let it rest about 5 minutes before cutting. Enjoy 😉 its delish !!!! God bless 🙌 🙏 ❤

I make it the same way but add eggs to bind it even more, garlic & a package of Lipton onion mix. Oh and the left overs make a great sandwich on plain ol white bread! Yummo!!!

Not the crackers try some milk n eggs works great for me n put brown sugar, ketchup, and a bit of mustard for the topping it's amazing and how I always make my meatloaf 😋

Instead of crackers or breadcrumbs, I cut or shred bread into small pieces and season it with salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, etc.. Kinda like a stuffing mix, but not dehydrated, but you could use that just as well.. Then mix that in the meat with onion, seasonings, Worcestershire, an egg and a bit of ketchup. Not a lot as it’ll be too vinegary. I also bake my meat monstrosity in loaf pans, and drain some of the grease off half way through.. Don’t like it soggy lol

Everyone has their own way of making meatloaf...1 thing I noticed is we all LUV us sum Green pepper and Onion!
I put a lot of parmesan cheese in mine almost like 1 big meatball.

Soooo the only seasonings is bbq sauce and a sleeve of crackers on 3lbs of meat 😮😮🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Looks soooo good! BBQ is amazing in meatloaf!

You can also use cheez-its in place of the saltines, a couple of little egg, dash of milk, and shredded cheese to the mix, and a ketchup, brown sugar, and wash ya sour sister sauce mixture on top…

I use 1 box of stove top stuffing mix. Run it through the processor. You have your spices and binder. Plus salt and pepper.
