One of my most loved and hated scenes of all stargate ever had to offer..

Loved, because it's the perfect starting point for a new spin off. A charakter so relatable as Eli, thrown into this new adventure, where he has no idea what to expect.

While also hated, simply because the way Rush gets to use Eli's mothers condition... for the sake of the mission... Something unthinkable in SG1 or Atlantis.

Have I missed a lot of comments about how this resembles the start of the original Stargate movie, where Daniel Jackson is recruited into a secret government program because of his ability to translate?

All Eli wants after a SETI like "Beam Me Up Spock" moment is pants, not pants, socks & shirts. LOL
I wonder what happen to him, post the final episode.
