“What do you think?” moments and watching dailies together is a luxury that I’ve never had or experienced as a director or as an actor. Every project I’ve ever been involved in thus far has been low or “no” budget so every moment is shoot, shoot, shoot, got it, set up for the next shot, go, go, go. Having time and money to involve everyone in the filmmaking process sounds like a nice thing to incorporate if possible. Im surprised to see that this video has so few comments after 7 years (only 15 comments before mine) and yet this video provides great filmmaking wisdom.

There is so much crammed into "Nashville, " it's a shame people don't see it more. Full of disparate stories and characters on a canvas of country music. Altman was a maverick and his movies portrayed that renegade feeling. M*A*S*H, A Wedding, McCabe & Mrs. Miller...all had casts with quirky stars that walked on the fringes of society. Brilliant director!

Do you think they all consciously wear dark clothes knowing the show is black and white? I wonder if they watch it.

Sadly this spirit of film making is a dying breed.
