"I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope." Best ending line in movie history.

Shawshank: One of the greatest examples of perfect casting, brilliant writing, and overall cinematic artistry. Tim Robbins embodied that character to the bone.

I also love how Andy learns to find happiness where he is, he doesn’t just fantasize about getting out one day and be miserable, he lifts from where he stands and finds happiness in helping people as much as he can given the circumstances.

“The funny thing is, on the outside I was an honest man. Straight as an arrow. I had to come to prison to be a crook.” — Andy Dufresne

When ever I'm channel surfing with the remote control and I come across this movie, I set the remote down

Hands down, one of the best movies ever made. I get choked up every time I see Red dig up Andy’s note in that field and decides to jump his parole to reunite with his friend.

I spent 6 months on the set, as a core con. Honestly, I was there for so much ! For example, I was sitting in a general space with Tim, with a few guys who were talking when he looks over at me and says "I'm going down in the hole, don't let any1 come down there. No matter what you hear, what I say, no matter what happens. When I'm ready, I'll come out, but not til then". And I kid you not, when Tim came out he was Andy Dufresne 😮 I knew I was in for some of the most amazing experiences that could never imagine !

I hate prison movies but I watch the last 40 minutes of the Shawshank Redemption over and over. I think we can all relate to wanting to escape whatever "prison" we're in, whether it's a 9-5 job, endless school, bad relationship, etc, to a carefree paradise. And he's right -- it's not tacked on. It's not expected -- it's earned. Very insightful. I thought actors were supposed to be stupid.

The best indication a film is great is when you can watch it over and over again and still react to it like it's the first time you're seeing it. Somehow Shawshank does that to people. What a masterpiece! Keep smiling🤘😃

Is anyone gonna talk about how perfect this interview was? Both Tim and the interviewer were about as invested as you can get.

Shawshank: a sure remote control drop. Every time, no matter where in the film.
