WHAT, the hand behind the glass, yes that is Spock's hand but the other hand is Kirk's and that scene does look very similar to Spock's death scene from Star Trek 2: Wrath of Khan. This is one of the reasons why people are speculation Cumberbatch is going to be Khan.
Also if Cumberbatch does end up behind Khan, THAT WILL BE FUCKING AWESOME

Kirk or Spock has to die. I'm guessing Kirk from this trailer with the next film having his brother become the replacement.

Villain is likely Gary Mitchell or Khan. Personally i hope its 'Gary Mitchell' and they save Khan for the third (and hopefully final) film

The speech given at the start by the admiral seems to be to the villain - demoting him of duty at Star Fleet as he has been shown to be seated in the captains chair.
