Can't wait for these to become more mainstream again. They are fantastic for long legged people when done right; that is no peak forces or bounce. It is also an excersise where just doing the bottom 3/4th of the movement may make more sense for many as the top portion has no real merit for anything other than resting

this is great stuff I'll definitely take a stab at these. I've been on a quest to learn old time strongman exercises and been getting better results than I ever did with more modern conventional training

I have worked so much on the balls of my feet that after 3 years I was weaker or less adept at lifting with my heels. Work everything but I think it IS easier to do heels as it is more stable so working on toes has a contrast effect as you go from unstable to stable.

Is there an equivalent of this movement for the upper body? This exercise is amazing, is there an upper body movement that is just as good as this one in terms of absolute range of motion?

Why not perform the heel elevated squats with barbell in front squat position. Puts more load on quads and allows more upright torso.

Have weak feet ankle and lower legs, everything above my knees is stable and strong.
Considering adding these as an assessory. Ticks the box for targeting VMO too.

Good idea, but with barbell on back, you might as just do regular squats....to save yourself from big hips and ass, there must be no weight on your upper back...I have been there and done it....the bar should be held behind the back like Hackenschmidt

How long did it take you to get to that weight, im doing these and wanna make sure i dont progress too quickly and ruin ny ankles and feet
