Maggie Tells Meredith 'I'm Your Sister' - Grey's Anatomy

Maggie confronts Meredith about lying to her about what really happened between Alex and Andrew. Maggie reminds Meredith "I am your sister" and the responsibility that comes with that relationship.

I do like Maggie. She is sweet and awkward. My only problem with her, is that she is so obsessed with being Meredith's sister and what she thinks that should mean. Without actually finding out about Meredith. She didn't know about Lexie dying in the plane crash for such a long time. She didn't know so many things about Meredith and just expected that the blood connection would override time, history and experiences. Alex is family. Christina is family. Richard is complicated family. Maggie never really considered that she had to earn her place in Meredith's heart. With time and experience. You can't just say, this blood automatically makes me someone that IS important to you.

I loved Lexie more... Because she fought for Merideth's love even she was pushed away several times. Unlike Maggie she had the easy entrance since Merideth was open already because of Lexie.

Ok hate maggie or not this was childish. You can't just come into someone's life and demand to belong there. But they all accepted her even when she sometimes act like a kid in situations that doesn't concern her. Right now she's not angry about lying she's practically asking more importance than alex. Something even derek won't ask her. He was her family way before maggie came in the picture. Alex did something unjustifiable and deluca was her ex but this is not why she's angry.

I love Lexie she’ll always be one of my favourite characters. But my theory is that Meredith accepted Maggie into her family so much easier than she did with Lexie because she lost Lexie. I think Mer realised how much time she lost with Lexie because she took so long to let her in that she didn’t want to risk that again with Maggie. She’s lost so many ppl I think she’s scared to loose another person because she refused to let them in.

Maggie acts as if she has never lied to Meredith before. She’s been there for what? A few weeks or so and expects Meredith to tell her everything whereas Alex has been there for 10 years

Like Maggie has never lied to Meredith. If this was the other way around, Meredith would totally understand if Maggie chose her decade-long best friend over her half sister whom she met a couple of years ago from an affair that separated her parents. Meredith has nothing to apologize for. Alex and Meredith have been through thick and thin together and Maggie somehow makes this about her. It’s. Not. About. You. Maggie.

Meredith has every right to side with Alex. Whether he is in the wrong or not (which he was) Maggie has no authority at all. She’s acting like she’s been here for years and demanding that she knows everything about her sisters life when in reality, Meredith doesn’t owe her anything. I like Lexie and I don’t hate Maggie but I personally hate people who are so demanding

I think that Maggie shouldn’t have been mad a Meredith for not being nice to her in the beginning. It was hard for Meredith to want to be Maggie’s sister because of Lexi. She didn’t like Lexi at first and then she grew so close to her and then Lexi died. I think it was just really hard for Meredith

I think people just don’t like Maggie because they constantly compare her to Lexie. Maggie is a likable character in my opinion. I love her. She’s not Lexie. I liked Lexie too. I don’t understand everyone’s problem with her.

Maggie annoys me more than any other character. She’s so emotionally immature, sees no grey and is incredibly selfish and what bothers me so much about the selfishness is the undertone of arrogance. Character is a great surgeon, she’s good to Meredith and Richard but she still gets on my nerves. Certainly don’t want her off the show though

It amazes me how people get so pissed off 😤 when they find out they’ve been lied too, but forget that they themselves have lied to other people. It amazes me how people get so pissed off with a lie but then when you tell them the truth, they get pissed off with that too. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Maggie is not selfish. I hate when ppl lie to me too especially family and idc how long they've known each other.

Everyone one here is talking about how pissed they are at Mer or Maggie and I am just trying to look for the episode in which she finally tells her she is her sister
