I still say that a Joker movie should be a horror film. There are comic stories about the Joker's "origins" that are so scary but interesting as heck.

I've got a theory that the film will be in the point of view Harleen, and her origin pretty much plays out similar to other iterations of her character. She falls in love with the Joker while working at Arkham Asylum, she breaks him out and it becomes a Bonnie & Clyde situation as they wreak havoc on the city.

It's revealed maybe in the 3rd act of the film that he's been using her, and in reality he's been manipulative and abusive. Since she's mentally ill too, when she's out commiting crimes with him she imagines as a musical.

It's all in her head, kind of like how it was revealed that Arthur imagined that he was dating his neighbor. If it goes in this direction it has potential to be just as good as the first film, I like the artsy physiological direction Todd is taking this franchise. Also Lady Gaga is a pretty damn good actress, im excited to see her take on Harley.

I imagine, given the title Folie à Deux (which is a mental disorder which directly translates to "madness for two"), the musical aspect of it will all be in Joker and Harley's heads, and everyone around them is either dead, dying, or being disemboweled.

A joker movie being a musical is perfect for the character. From batmans perspective sure, it's a serious situation but joker sees things in a completely different light, comedic, light, etc

I highly doubt Joker 2, is gonna be a silly musical, like what we saw in Hawkeye. I'm sure whatever they're referring to, it's on the level of what we saw in the first Joker, when Joker was in the bathroom dancing.
