Seriously, I don't know where to begin. I'm currently awaiting this beauty to come out of backorder status so it can ship to me and I found this video to tide me over. Hands down the best thing out there. Informative and clear while the humor you share with your wife (the camera crew) is priceless. Thank you, sir!! Now I've subbed and have already received a new video notification so I don't know just yet how this newfound friendship will affect my wallet. 😂

Hi Brian and the heartbeat of the show the Camera crew, As a 48yo newbie to the hobby. I received my S2 last week, didn't need to look at the instructions because i've watched this vid so much! Had my third flight with my instructor today and got to do my first take off!! which was awesome. RF trainer edition with the dongle has been a real help for confidence in the controls(my instructor wont let me use Beginner or intermediate mode he's old school lol) Just want to say thanks for videos you both do and you really have inspired me to go out and just do it!! Buy the plane find the club learn to fly awesome times ahead.

Happy Anniversary, Y’all. Ours is Wednesday... 31 years. The model, flights, review, technicals, and video is a slam dunk as always. Y’all are the best.

Your RC videos are not only fun to watch but very enlightening. I have learned so much and can only hope that the day will come when I can fly like you. I just got the Carbon Cub S2 with DXS transmitter and have been able to fly it once in calm wind. I just mounted a GoPro on the battery compartment door and hopefully won't have any problem getting it off the ground. I have done a lot of modifications with regard to the hardware and fasteners that came with the plane so when it crashes it will be pilot error and not a mechanical failure. Thanks again for your great videos.

Just wanted to update you. Flew the Carbon Cub several times today. You walked me thru the build and the modes. Went very well. Thank you

Once again, SUPER VIDEO. Here are some tricks I know of:
1. Use a MISTING spray bottle w/rubbing alcohol in it. Depending on how sticky a surface is mist one side or both and it will give you adjustment time when sticking something to something else. If only one side sprayed do it in the sticky side. When alcohol evaporates then there is a full hold of the item. I have done this so many times I can't tell you.

2. Put index finger in mouth to get wet all around. Then hold up in the air. EZ and accurate way to determine wind direction.

3. Get stick, dowel or something 1.5' long or more. Tie on a very narrow and light piece of ribbon or string on it. Hold it out and it will give you an idea if it is too windy or not to fly.

This one below I have NOT tried.

--- Spray or paint on a water-based acrylic coat(s) on Styrofoam parts. They claim this "shell" prevents dings and depressions in foam model airplanes.

Tnx for the video info, again. It was great. I ordered this b4 I first saw this video (last Sunday) . I also bt alligator clip plug-in wires so I can charge from my car battery. I will be able to use this same charger (Spectrum S1200 DC) at the local school grounds I am going to fly at.

I bought this as my first plane about a month ago. I just started not using safe. It started as short moment where I would shut it off just to do loops and immediately turn it back on and now it’s fully flown with safe off. After about 20 flights with safe off, I can confidently say it is 400x more fun when you get to that level of experience. Only bummer is now I’m really sad I banged it up so much learning.

I believe your rudder and tail wheel came off because you did not install the screw just above the tail wheel. Time stamp 1:12:09 shows you installing the two larger screws to secure the tail assembly but the small screw above the wheel has not been installed. I only realized that because I had the version one with GPS.

My old red and white standard Carbon Cub has clocked up over 800 flights and is still flying, the wheel fairings were discarded long ago, my airplane flies from a dirt field and never lets me down, I love this model, great video Brian.

I’ve recently been watching plane videos and you always pop up with the plane I’m looking at. You do a fantastic job demonstrating and even better flying.
Thanks to you and your wife for making thorough videos:

I took your advice to not over think it all and just ordered the rtf version and I'll get a transmitter eventually. This way I get the battery, charger etc. Since I am starting over. Thanks again for the advice while you are flying.
Just flew today, two batteries. No problems for an out of practice flyer. So much fun. Just like to say, you make it look easy!

My Wife wanted a plane for her Bday. I chose this because it’s easy to fly and I’ve been out of flying for 4 years. Of course she’ll never fly it, but if it’s for her… she knows I’ll buy it. I’ll do flaps from the beginning and zip ties too. Thanks, just ordered it yesterday.

Thank you for your videos. I’m a old rookie Rc helicopter pilot that been in and out of hobby because life just takes over. Always missing it when not doing it. Well bit the bullet and purchased a rtf Carbon cub and a Dx6e with 620 receiver for more airplanes in future.

Lol 2 yrs later after this video. My Carbon Cub S2 will be delivered here today 😂 I'm so glad & so nervous at the same time. I've never flown a RC plane before. So wish me luck lol. Thanks for your videos, it definitely helps me figure some of this out.

First RC Airplane, 75 years old and bought the Carbon Cub S2 and going to install flaps before I attempt first flight! I won't have any assistance but have watched a bunch of how to fly videos. Will fly it at my sod farm.
What is maximum size Spectrum LiPo battery that I can use in this plane. Want to have at least two batteries.
Love your Unbox, Build and Maiden flight videos. Have watched a number of ones that are way over my head but still enjoy the process. You and your wife make a great team! Don't change - I like the fact that you show us how to work through unexpected problems. Thanks again The Sodfather
