Recall is so important. To get it to the proper level takes time and effort. I do big aggressive dogs so recall and the general stop...meaning stop everything is so important. Takes a lot of trust.

No, I was testing off leash recall today. Tarley, no E collar ran to talk to the dog in his yard across the road. I tried normal "recall", then I half whimpered - like a hurt puppy and half cried like a little girl and had a bit of a human tanty and he came back ! I only learnt this technique last week when totally frustrated at a lack of desire to sit and stay. We are up to playing sit games! Very happy to see the improvement - with help of your video's too!

My cane corso needs a turn on the collars for his recall but we took your advise and between the sound and the buzz it works well. My 4 month old puppy has the best recall I've seen in any of the dogs I've ever owned.

Also, all the dogs I walked off-leash as a dog walker had to come when I said "Let's go!" I didn't even call out their names nor speak to them as individuals. If they did not come when I called, they were leashed and if they continued to be like that, they were dropped from my pack.

Idk how I did it. But my pups recall is amazing. He really just trust my judgement in every situation. So pure.

I trained my dog through dog parks. I’d start in situations he was more likely to listen in. If he didn’t listen I immediately told him bad. Said why and put him in time out for 2-5 minutes. If he did it a second time I told him and put him aside for 2-5 minutes, and after a third time would take him home and tell him why. After a while I’d test it on more and more complex situations. In mid fog attack on him I hit him to stop and return. In heavy play with a dog that he was far overstimulated by I can do the same. If he doesn’t go for a while he can fall back into bad habits, so be fair yo each other.
