This guy has leveled up from a dog trainer to a human trainer.

So if I want to rob a house I just need to tell their dog to sit 👍

I had a black lab we rescued at 4 months old from an abusive home. She became incredibly protective of our family especially the kids. I never had to lock my front door cuz she wasn't letting ya in at night. And everyone that came knew to address her before coming in or they wasn't coming in. And we never had to train her. She just did this on her own. Best dog we ever had. Rip Sasha

I once worked for a florist as a delivery driver. On my day off, my boss called me asking if I could make 1 delivery because the other driver was too scared to approach a gated house due to "large scary dogs". When I got to the gate to the property, I was greeted by two of the most gorgeous and well trained Dobermans I've ever met. Unable to contain myself, I started praising them with a baby-talk voice and without hesitation I opened the gate and started petting them. Made the delivery no problem and with those two beauties escorting me to the house and back to the gate. Owner was amazed that I didn't call the number at the gate XD. While it doesn't apply to every dog, the way some dogs can sense intention/energy will always blow my mind.

This goes for ANY DOG. Always always greet your dog. I use different entrances, different times of day, flex schedule work. I've developed a specific noise to let them know it's me. Each family member has thier own "noise" we use for them.

This goes for most dogs. There's been a couple times I've come home late from work trying to be quiet and my dogs start barking like I'm an intruder. So I'll usually call their names when I come in now and there's zero issues.

I hope people listen to your advice, and take it as serious as it is, less they want to be a chew toy, and severely maimed or worse. I've always had heart for animals, especially dogs, as they truly have so much to offer and for that and so very much more, they've got my respect and appreciation. A good rule of thumb is never approach a dog without first asking the owner's permission. If only common sense was that common. BTW, that is an impressive dog you have! God Bless

I once lived on property that had two small houses on it about 50 feet apart separated by a courtyard. my neighbor was a nice lady who owned a female Rottweiler. I was well known by this dog, we used to play all the time. very friendly dog. one night I was out in the courtyard at night and my neighbor came home from visiting a friend down the street with her Rottweiler. she let the dog through the gate and turned to latch it. meanwhile the rottie kept coming. I saw her in the dark coming at me fast and low. I didn't know what to do so I called the dogs name. She stopped, her head came up and she turned into the happy playful dog she had always been with me. That dog was all business investigating an unknown threat and became a happy dog once the threat had been identified. I was very impressed. Now, later in life, I own three Rottweilers.

Same thing happened to my husband and our pitbull. His schedule changed to nights and he came home and she went charging straight for his crotch, growling and barking, but as soon as he spoke (screamed) her name she did a 180. Tail wag and puppy kisses. I came out of the bedroom and asked him what happened and he said "I didn't turn on the light fast enough" 🤣

The fact that the dog can ask questions at all is crazy. My dog can't talk no matter what I try.

I approve of this message.

Many years ago, I surprised my German Shepherd when returning home late one night. He charged at me, but having a mouthful of food as I walked in, I couldn't give a command or say anything so he'd recognise my voice.
He only realised that it was me once he'd actually bit me.
Luckily, I naturally put my arm out and as it was winter I was wearing quite a thick jacket, so he didn't penetrate my arm. He only "clamped on" for a second or two until he realised, and I was physically unharmed.

Although I'm not entirely sure if he let go because he realised that it was me, or he noticed the kebab that I was eating.

RIP Max, my lad.

I had three Dobermans and whenever coming home late at night or going into the backyard we always called out their names and made sure they smelled us first. Guard dogs run on instincts It’s your job as an owner to know these things in order to form a positive relationship for everyone coming to your home including yourself

I once locked myself out & had to break a window to get inside. As I was sliding myself into the house, left leg first, my 180lb Rottie charged into the kitchen and bit my leg 7 times before he realized who I was & stopped biting me.
My friends all thought I was crazy because I wouldn’t put him down. But to me, he has a job to do when I’m not home & that is to guard the house…& I now knew that he was great at his job!
