I read a book about the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012. It stated that the earth at that time completed the last 5, 000 years of a 25, 000 year cycle. At that time the earth was tipped on it’s axis to it’s maximum tilt in that direction. 2012 began the beginning of the 25, 000 thousand year cycle where the earth began to start to start it’s journey tipping in the opposite direction. I do believe there was something mentioned of a 23 degree perigee. I’ve often pondered the possible cataclysmic changes that might result form the reversal of directions. Say for instance increase in volcanic eruptions, torrential rains and earthquakes. All of which we seem to be witnessing lately.

Hadith about the sun rising from the west is mentioned in several narrations. One of the prominent ones is recorded in Sahih Muslim:

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

"Do you know where the sun goes when it sets? It goes and prostrates beneath the Throne, then it takes permission to rise again, and it is permitted. Then a time will come when it will be about to prostrate, but it will not be accepted, and it will seek permission to go on its course, but it will not be permitted. It will be said to it: 'Go back from where you came, ' so it will rise from the west. That is what Allah says: 'The sun runs on its fixed course for a term (decreed).' (36:38) 'That is the Decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing.' (36:38)"

This hadith signifies one of the major signs of the Day of Judgment in Islamic eschatology.

Actually its not moving in reverse the core has just slowed down compared to the earth's rotation that's why the inner core looks like going backwards. Like when you are in the car and overtake another car at higher speed you can see the other car go backwards but it's actually not.

Correction... this news actually brings us one step closer to understanding, that we really do not understand the earth at all.
And that includes all the scientists, they have this title, and really don't have a clue either, as they rarely know more than the ordinary man or woman.

Regarding why the Earth's Core is now spinning in reverse, I would like to explain: Just as the Earth has two hemispheres, where Energy flows in opposite directions ie: water, magma, wind etc.. The Solar system we live within, travels through the Milky Way in an elongated circle taking 260 000 000 years to fully travel around. What most do not conceptualize is how large our Galaxy is, or how thin, it is in comparison to how wide or how long it stretches, approximately 200 000 light years. However the Galactic Plane is less than 1000 light years thick. So like the Earth, our Galaxy has the upper and lower halves in which our solar system traverses! Ever since the mid 1970' our Star has been moving across the ecliptic plane and heading in to the Northern hemisphere of our Galaxy! Hence why the Earth's Core has begun to move in reverse, after slowing over the past 4 decades. Remember people, everything is Ultimately Energy, even you and I😇 I hope this helps

And there are a lot of people who think the word of scientists is absolute truth .
They expect us to believe that they can see light years into the distance and miles through earth or rather they expect us to believe their assumptions made upon assumptions is true .
