What Happens If Earth Core Stops Spinning?

Показать описание
We know that the core has stopped spinning. But how do we know that? What could happen to Earth Now? More #earthquake more #tsunami more #volcano
#earthcore #Polereversal #magneticfield
If Earth's core stops spinning, the magnetic field may get weaker, which will allow harmful rays to enter Earth's atmosphere. And that's not good for us.
If the liquid outer core also stops spinning, we might lose the magnetosphere completely. This will not happen overnight but gradually earth's atmosphere will be blown away by Solar wind. Oceans and lakes will boil away and all life on earth will cease to exist. Remember this already happened to Mars.
Another scenario is Pole reversal. As per the Geological record, pole shift or pole reversal happens roughly every 200,000 to 300,000 years. The last time the compass pointed toward the South was about 800,000 years ago. We are long overdue. We don't really know what would happen. But what we know is that NASA scientists say a reversal happens over hundreds or thousands of years.
One worrisome scenario is that the heated outer core drives the convection current mantle, which in turn moves the continents around, and may either slow down and stop completely or speed up. Both scenarios are not good. We may see lots of major earthquakes happening all over the world. Earth's crust splitting apart and red hot basalt pouring out and intensified volcanic activity. Some slumbering super volcano may decide to wake up again.
