I have been waiting to buy M1 MBA and this review might help me make my decision. My use case is - email, working on documents, Zoom call, photo editing, streaming etc. I don’t play games nor do I edit videos. Now what I would like to know from you is if the base variant (8GB+256GB) is enough for the long term (5-6 years) considering that there will be OS update that would occupy good chunk of space. How much user space is available by the way?

M1 MacBook Air has completed changed everyone's view on it. Great keyboard, excellent performance. I'd definitely go for 16GB tho.

I've been observing this. Almost all laptop reviews are focused on video editing. A loop. It's like the finding out what the guys writing "how to get rich" books are doing - writing books telling others how to get rich. A loop
