Got an M1 MacBook Air? Love it to death? How do you use yours?

I bought the base m1 as my first mac earlier this year and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to windows. The M1 chip is truly a tech revolution. I just wish I got 16GB ram to future-proof it even more, but that would have totally blown it out of my budget.

Even the release of the new 14” and 16” MBPs doesn’t damper my enthusiasm for my M1 MBA. The experience is so premium for most tasks and it costs half as much. HALF! No noise, snappy, light, great sound, and excellent screen. Best value Apple product bar none.

I've had my M1 MacBook Air since launch and absolutely love it. I never owned a Mac before last year, and at first I tried out the Core i3 model (before the M1 was announced) and while I loved the OS, I hated the computer for the heat, fan noise, and laggy performance. But the M1 changed everything and has made the MacBook Air the absolute best laptop I've ever owned (I did also look at the Surface Laptops 3 and Go last year as well).

I recently got the Air as well and I absolutely love the battery life and the ease of use. I’ve upgraded from an early 2015 MacBook Pro and this is night and day! Such a great and convenient device. I was using my iPad primarily even for video editing because the older MacBook Pro couldn’t handle much and the battery was very poor, but now I’m back to using the laptop as my primary device and it is so so much better!

I am student and for me M1 air is like dream device. Currently, I can't afford it. But one day in future, I definitely going to buy MacBook Air.

got mine last june and i don't do professional editing stuff and some sort, only the usual office workloads straight 9 hours and this Macbook Air M1 delivers. i charge it 2 or 3x weekly.
paired with my iphone 12, it's a 10/10 for me 🥇 💻 📱

I got one as a work laptop recently and for writing, web browsing, and looking at PDFs, it's perfect. Love the weight and how slim it is, but also how solid it feels.

Never been a fan of MacBooks and never felt the need to own one, until the release of the M1. The M1 cannot be ignored, its that much of a game changer, so I went for it and purchased a MBA 8GB and its fantastic, easily the best laptop I have owned. I am not a heavy content user, I am a self-employed Project Manager that works in the Construction Industry and the laptop does everything I need to do, easily fits in my bag when travelling across London visiting different sites of mine. If you are thinking about purchasing the MBA, I say go for it, I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Hey Mark: I got an M1 MacBook Air with 2TB SSD as soon as they came out. Blazingly fast to switch, open and use my three Photos libraries (380, 180, 140 GB), with several other apps open at the same time.

So I originally had to decide between the Macbook Air and the Mac Mini when the M1 chip first came out. I opted for the Mini since I was replacing my Linux Desktop. I used it for a year but missed the portability of being able to use it around the house. I bought the Macbook Air on sale for $849 and fell in love. My wife loved it so much she asked for one too so I bought her one for Christmas this year. Most of our use is web browsing, email, streaming videos, writing docs in office and spreadsheet work, so it handles things extremely well and is very fast. Haven't had an issue whatsoever with it. My wife loves hers as well.

Battery life (obviously) the speed it opens from opening the lid to use…fast! The trackpad…having been a dyed in the wool mouse fan, the scope of gestures is brilliant. The keyboard! I agree wholeheartedly that it is a joy to use and I’m sure I can actually type faster because of it.

I just got my MacBook Air 2020 M1 chip and I absolutely love it! The performance is giving you everything that you need in order to work properly. I edit photos and work with clients on my MacBook and after using windows for about 20 years, I think changing to MAC OS system was the best thing I could ever do in my life. MAC OS is just amazing for someone who wants to work on his laptop. Every app is design work as smooth as possible. Never go back to windows :)

Recently purchased mine and I love it! Use it mainly for music production through Logic, doing a bit of uni, and streaming. Battery takes a hit with music production, but that’s to be expected when layering tracks, editing bits and pieces etc but honestly it’s a brilliant piece of kit 💪

PC user since their invention. Went with the M1 MB Air to replace my gigantic XPS laptop. My initial reason was I wanted something lightweight to use on vacation for photo processing in Lightroom/PS etc. I got the 8GB largely due to your reviews and ended up with the 8 core GPU and 512gb for about $1000 on Apples refirb site. Turns out, I primarily use for pretty much everything. My Desktop XPS is only used for gaming and processing 1000s of photos for my photo business. What surprised me is I use it for instant note taking. I can have it in my bag and pull it out to takes notes at doctor appts and various elder care things I have to keep track of now. I also love that I can simply and easily scan docs with my iPhone and they're instantly available on the MacBook. Best piece of technology I own now. Thanks for all your videos. :)

Hi Mark. Interesting video. I just got my M1 air a couple of weeks ago after waiting and waiting for the M1X. I use it for Unreal Engine game development (for fun), so was blown away by how well the M1 copes - it is truly mind blowing considering how graphically intense UE is. I will still get a Mac mini M1X when they eventually come out but in the meantime I can get on with my projects and enjoy myself.
