As always, your videos are 11/10. I like pretty much everything, especially the edit. :)

When you said you weren't smart at 3:47, I was like dude you are so smart, don't you have a degree in electronic engineering or something similar? That's pretty smart!
You are defo my favorite channel at the moment and have inspired me to try and learn new things! Please keep it up!

I love your channel! I subscribed right away and I don't do that very often.

Really pleased to see you still riding the unicycle - I've never counted hours on anything I've learned, but your 9 days is about typical in terms of timescale for that. It took me about 2 weeks and I think one week isn't all that uncommon. What's worth noting here is that when learning unicycle stuff (there's a lot more to learn than just riding forwards!) I always find that the brain makes connections when you're not doing it, so often things click after a few days off. I reckon this is applicable to all sorts of learning - there's more to it than hours spent, spending 3 hours in one day (getting frustrated) isn't as useful as 3 hours in half hour chunks spread over 6 days as it takes time for your brain to adapt to the stimulus.
Anyway, I find your channel really interesting - I also like learning lots of different new things, but tend to take them far beyond the initial learning phase you're documenting to a fairly advanced level. I'm wondering do you take any of these skills you're learning further?

To come back to the unicycle thing, there's a huge amount of other things to learn with a unicycle - so my challenge to you is to learn to ride one backwards - for me at least that took far longer to learn than riding forwards.

Yup, so true. I agree with you that learning doens't take a lot of time. What people maybe confuse it with is mastering the particular skill. Mastering definitely required years of hardwork, sometimes decade. Keep making these videos and inspire people like me to learn these things too.

I jokingly say "not with that attitude" to my friends every time they say something isn't possible. You prove though, that it's all about how you look at a task.

Hey Mike, I think it would really awesome to see how many of these skills you have learned have stuck with you since you last did them! Could prove how well you learned them!

So positive, so refreshing. No drama or histrionics, jus the basic message that you can do what you want if you practise. Can't wait to see what comes next!

3:44 - This is what I always tell people when it comes to spinning, balancing, or remembering things! A tiny bit here and there over the course of a month will amaze you. Of course, having a positive outlook is equally important. Whether you think you can or can't, you're right.

I love your videos. Everything you do is creative and challenging and it really seems to encourage development as a person. It's really inspiring to watch your positivity - I think I'm going to try and learn something! Cheers for making these Mike

Mike as a result of watching your channel, I too have learned how to ride a unicycle. Learning fixed gear no handed wheelies currently. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. When I get frustrated (as I so often do) I honestly keep thinking of all the things you show on your channel and it's pure re-motivation!

this has to be one of the most inspirational channels in that it actually gets you out there, more motivational to me than the dedicated 'motivational videos' that have spoken word poetry to epic movie music

Here's one you should definitely try!! Learn a polyrhythm. But to make it interesting, learn one that's three different rhythms (or even four) over each other to really challenge your brain and coordination. So maybe try 7:5:4 or if you're feeling up to it, 7:5:4:3? Would love to see you try this and see how long it takes!

Great content, I know it must be a little hard to come up with new things to “learn quick”, but it’s awesome to open YouTube sometimes and see your one of your videos pop up. It’s truly inspirational to see someone like you to overcome challenges such as these. Keep up the good work.

I feel the same about working out, when it really gets to it, you can be easily done on a muscle group with 4 sets and 12 repetitions assuming you just focus and use the time effectively... a workout can literally be done in about 20 minutes.

Im going to college (or university) in a few days and this is incredibly inspiring for me. One of my biggest fears was actually picking up the material and being able to learn it. The idea you have about learning really opened up my eyes and change my idea of how to learn things. Thanks so much and keep making the amazing content

Wow, I needed to see this. Been watching YouTube instead of working on projects, but it made me realise that the same principle can be applied: it *feels* like the project takes ages when in fact it’s all the procrastination I do that makes it seem longer.

Just ran across this and I think it's awesome. Just an excellent point and pretty darned inspiring. I also think it's a key to actually getting yourself to learn stuff, incorporating it into your day / routine and minimizing the cost around it.

Also, the other life skills you have can help a ton too. And knowing how to learn something. To tweak each attempt slightly, and trying all new things. Love your channel!!
