Wow. As an eye care professional, graduating optometry school in a few short months, I am glad to hear that you have actually done your research. Yes, most of the discomfort that comes from staring at screens stems solely from how dry your eyes get. There is virtually zero affect on long term health risks to your eyes outside of dryness. Albiet, dry eye is one of the more prevalent eye conditions that plagues people with about 80% of the population falling to a diagnosis of Dry Eye, but only feeling the effects of dry eye when the symptoms and the condition are progressed to a severe state. The breaks that you talked about are what we like to call the 20-20-20 Rule. For every 20 minutes of screen time, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Practicing good visual hygiene as the academics call it is what can bring you that edge when it comes to your vision and not having it be a hinderance to performance. Other issues such as focusing and double vision should be reserved for visits to your eye care professional, such as an optometrist.

Wow. I tried sitting close to my monitor about 6inches away and I can already notice a lot of changes in my game. From silver 3 to massive headache.

Edit: after days of getting used to this kind of setup, I am now comfortable with the headache.

The bigger question is why that sage didn't die from the first headshot from the vandal

That text font most accurately describes what I would be seeing when I'm that close to a monitor

I saw this video and decided to try it out.
I only had my monitor close to me while gaming. And oh boy did it help. I am not joking, I was able to consistently hit sprays, microshots etc. Within 3 days of playing with my monitor close to me. Advice everyone to remind yourself to blink once you die or are in the buy phase

I always have to be like a foot or 2 away from whatever screen I'm playing on, otherwise I just feel sick bro. Unfortunately my gaming chair forces me to press my nose against my monitor so that I can smell the stale dorito dust and liquids splashed on it. I love my gaming chair so much bro.

Speaking of ergonomics, it's nice to actually have the space to adjust your stuff. Many gamers dont have a choice and just work with that they got and that works too.

great video man 👍🏻 I actually had to see an eye doctor a month ago because i constantly had dry eyes and was just always tired all the time. He recommended to simply just sit 2 feet away and also some blue light blocking glasses and for someone who games about 6 hours a day i feel that i can actually go longer without having that dry burning feeling it gave me.

i actually haven’t ever considered my gaming posture to be honest but when i used to play skyrim on pc i think i actually tended to sit a little bit too close to the screen (but that isn’t even an fps so it doesn’t rly correlate i suppose) bc my head and eyes would hurt afterwards sometimes. also i love my e-win gaming chair that i got with ur code justin 💖
