The old republic should have movies adaptations. Either with the use of CG characters like in this amazing trailer or with live actors. Either one is a winner in my book

I still see and appreciate your way of thinking. Those soldier had survived a lot of battles, taht's true -they were part of Republic Task Force, the Republic Army elite. On the other hand, think about this -Sith Empire had prepared for years before attack. And Alderaan was not first campaign, so I reckon, that this "initiates" also had some battle experience. And there is one more-this "main" Sith fighting there. During this combat, he was only (;P) a Sith Warrior, not even 1/2

@Reeclan I know. But Old republic existed few thousands of years. Action in Old Republic is 300 years after KotOR. So Malak is dead and Revan as well (or he found some immortality way O.o).

well there are plenty canonical events when non force users overpower force users, like Order 66, Jango Fett duel with Obi Wan, Luke fighting Guri, and Yuzhann Vong war (although Jedi were a bit handicaped there ;) ) during Corellian Crisis even some models of battledroids were hard adversaries for Jedi. Force users are not invincible, Some rookie sith or jedi can be easy prey for a veteran soldier who fough in hundreds of battles.

Precisely, the Great Galactic War took place 3681 BBY - 3653 BBY (BBY- Before Battle of Yavin) In fact, if I heard well, those are soldiers from Republic Task Force...but I admit, that I find it strange that they can engage Sith warriors (I don't mean class, but generally Force users armed with light sabers)...

No, he isn't.
If you've seen the first The Old Republic trailer, he's that Sith, who led attack on Jedi Temple. Earlier, he had been a Sith general during strike on Alderaan, where he had been injured (like it's presented in this trailer)...

youd think that korriban's 'sith 101' course would have taught them that dark creepy forests arent the best place to defend against badass republic soldiers that look like clones for some reason 3800 years before they were made. i know id teach that if i were a sith

Well thats right, but those commandos on the other hand in small squad vaporised large portion of sith ground force so they are dangerous too ;) This movie tells us that those commando leader was more dangerous than those sith underlings . IMHO it's just academic talk, both of those guys are dangerous, on the battlefield lot of things can happen. Hope to see you in game where we can settle this issue once and for all ;D

That was totally amazing...I'd love to see a whole movie like this with plenty of action and rated R...but I don't think Lucas would ever allow an R rated movie made with his characters. Come on George, most of us were kids when Star Wars came out and we've stuck with you since then but we are not little kids anymore and we'd love to see some material aimed at our age demographics with more intensity and engaging plots! Maybe dealing with the old republic so you don't have to use New Hope char.

I agree with aabbyy23. Don't get me wrong, I like the Star Wars: The Clone Wars tv series and feature film. I haven't seen a full length film done in graphics like this since Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. I think an entire Star Wars film in this style would be a great idea. A movie that takes place during the Old Sith Wars, Mandalorian Wars, or New Sith Wars is long overdue. It could chronicle the life of Exar Kun or the life of Revan and the Jedi who went against them.
