STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™ - 4K ULTRA HD – ‘Sacrifice’ Cinematic Trailer

In celebration of 10 years of SWTOR, we’re re-releasing all of our classic cinematic trailers enhanced in 4K. “Sacrifice” was initially launched on June 15th, 2015.

The year-long celebration of our 10th anniversary kicks off with Legacy of the Sith, a new expansion that marks the starting point to a full year of galactic intrigue, conflict, and mystery. Legacy of the Sith will send players to the darkest depths and farthest reaches of the galaxy and unlock the ability to choose your personal combat style, allowing for more options than ever before when it comes to living in your own Star Wars fantasy.

I absolutely adore the concept of the Eternal Empire. Just the way they came out of nowhere and stomped both the Jedi and the Sith at the same time is so cool. Plus the armor design for the Knights of Zakuul is so refreshing when compared to thousands of years of 'just copy the Mandalorians'.

The shock and sheer terror on Arcann's face when he snaps out of his dark side frenzy and realizes what he's done... I just can't. Parents pitting their chidren against one another is fucking heartbreaking.

Still gives me chills. Still the best 4 minutes of story telling in all of modern Star Wars. Every single detail just adds to the visual story telling. Poor poor Thexan. As his sister said, "What would have things been like had you lived?"

What truly breaks my heart is the way Thexan could have slammed Arcann into a wall but instead chose to pull him back to his side. You can see when Arcann lands that Thexan didn't draw his saber until Arcann spun and attacked him! Such a tragedy

I've seen this trailer a lot of times, but i had never noticed that, in the moment that Arcann attacks Darth Vitiate and we see him turning his back on his son... he smiles.
It's almost imperceptible, but his mouth changes a bit as he is perfectly conscious that one of his sons has finally fell in complete darkness

I am a twin (irl) with a father it seems too that could never be proud of his sons. what we did was never enough. it puts tears in my eyes everytime i watch this trailer. Extremely powerful and one of the most powerful crushing cinematics for SW.

2:16 I like how Thexan gives an uncomfortable look at his brother, he seems worried as he's sensing the darkness grow in him. After losing his arm and getting his face burned, Arcann became more ruthless and merciless. Thexan didn't like it.

its crazy how much potential is in the expanded universe. just imagine if they did a full length movie that's based on this or literally just this. absolutely amazing

Always loved how Thexan is portrayed as the superior of the twins. He was better in the arena, built his lightsaber first and didn't get half his body blown up in war.

But he was also more compassionate and loyal, to Arcaan especially, and that was what got him killed when he put himself between his brother and Valkorion.
