How many of you see the fact that the wife was even hiding the true outcome. The little things stated in the story. About how she got upset when a date said she was too old for something serious. Then trusted to go back to her husband after. She wasn't looking to try something exciting. She was looking to replace the husband permanently. Why else would the phrase of "you're too old for something serious" be hurtful. If you were looking for flings or trying new things. A statement like that would have been a green light. No, sorry but in her quest to find a replacement for a husband who she thought was no longer good enough for her, she lost it all. Too bad for her.

When you give someone more value than they deserve or love someone more than you should, the only gift you'll receive is betrayal. This guy's arguments are ridiculous he says he accepted the open marriage to keep her. But deep down, he knew the moment they "opened" their marriage, it was over. I think, on some level, he wanted it to end but didn't want to admit it. He should have been ready to end it the moment the word "OPEN" came out of his wife's mouth.

And those who only wanted a hook up with her, they weren't wrong when they said "You're too old for anything serious". Sorry to seem and look offensive on the surface, but it's the truth. Studies show that men tend to be the ones who age better long term than woman do. And that's because age catches up to them alot more quickly than it does with men!
