Is so nice to see a video that talks about general redness instead of it being related to skin conditions, I have had a pinky reddish skin tone since childhood and emotional flushing, seeing this is so refreshing!

As a redhead I have redness issues. Around my nose, under my bottom lip, blotchy chest etc... love this video
I also have dilated blood vessels too. I wish we had better sun screens back in the 70s lol.

You look lovely in green 🌷

Thank you for telling the truth that no matter what we do, we will always have a big of redness. This makes me feel better because I can honestly only feel confident when I have a green primer and a very light powder on my face. I used to be insecure because I didn’t want to be one the girls that has to wear makeup everyday but now I know it’s because of my own genetics 💜

I was diagnosed with Lupus (of the skin) about 5 years ago. I would love to see a video on how to care for my skin while preventing breakouts.

Rosacea with flushing here. I have noticed a drastic difference with getting VBeam from my dermatologist and using my Omnilux mask a few times a week. Also would recommend consistent use of products containing Centella like the Purito unscented Centella serum, Klairs midnight blue calming cream, Purito dermide cica barrier sleeping pack, Dr Jart Cicapair, LRP Cicaplast, bioderma cicabio. And for general redness I also use LRP Rosaliac AR Intense serum

Thankyou for letting us know that it's ok to keep using foundation if I feel better with it on. So many women I know like to brag about not wearing foundation because they don't care, but they don't have the redness I do.

I so appreciate the thoroughness of this video. I wish you offered virtual consultations. I've been to all 5 of the dermatologists in my little city, and none of them think my rosacea is worth worrying about. I've been prescribed ivermectin, but it doesn't make a difference. I've had IPL and VBeam, but the derms themselves didn't perform the treatments. Medical assistants and NP did, and it felt quick and half haphazard. And then, anytime I reference a doctor from social media and their recommendation, it's met with disapproval.

I don't have rosacea but since I was a little girl (now 43) I've had very rosy cheeks. I used to hate it and I think that's partly because it got me attention to myself and I was already shy. I was told by a therapist that people are born shy so it's not a character trait. Also I had an open heart surgery when I was an infant (1981) and they accidentally damaged a nerve for my left vocal cord which ended up paralyzing it so it left my voice, when I was little, very hoarse and raspy and soft. Every time I opened my mouth someone was either asking what was wrong with my voice or make fun of my voice and remind you, I was already shy. So having to explain that yes I am ok. When I would do pe or just have outdoor fun, my cheeks would get even more red! So I would have to say that it's natural for me and again I didn't like talking, mainly to strangers, that much. It has gotten more under control now and I have actually grown to like it. I'll never need to use blush. I actually don't wear any makeup but still I like that I have natural blush only because it's not like rosacea.

I’ve been off Accutane for almost a year now and the redness is very gradually improving. Unfortunately I’ve not found anything that will help except for makeup, colour correction and TIME. Any tips would be fantastic if anyone else has experienced this!

I have redness and spider veins in my face. My dad had this same issue he said it was the Irish in him. When I put a sunscreen on it turns my face really red also vitamin c serum. I had laser for ths spider veins on my face and it calmed the spider veins however I was told they could come back and they have. I've learned facial oils have been the biggest help.

I have fair skin and between most likely sun damage and not treating my damaged skin barrier for so long, my redness has gotten worse over the last couple of years. I just started using the Redness Reform and LOVE IT!!! I love all of the Prequel products I have started incorporating into my skin care routine! I'm going on my 2nd bottle of Hypochlorous Acid! Dr. Ellis thank you so much for all of the time and hard work you put into your products, research, and also your patients/followers. I feel reassured if I'm using anything that is Dr. Ellis approved and love your recommendations! I can't wait to see what Prequel comes out with next!

Can you please create a mineral sunscreen without niacinamide, aloe Vera and other triggers for many with sensitive skin, that has a green tint to it?

I recently purchased the Prequel moisturizer, redness serum and one other serum - amazing formulations and they really made any redness much better within days

Just wanted to let you know that you've got quite the fan club here at the clinic I work at. Your channel is a favorite among all the estheticians, and we always look forward to your content!

I also have rosacea (and eczema…). One thing that made it worse was when I decided to do something for wrinkle and texture. The plastic surgeon (at a recognized esthetic medical clinic, with both derms and surgeonsnot, but I should have known…) convinced me to go for fraxel. BAD, BAD idea. For the next two years, the rosacea was worse than ever. So, if you have reddish, sensitive skin, be very wary of any harsh procedures…

Rosacea patient here. Used Ivermectin cream for over 2 years now and that has helped greatly, as well as several Excel V treatments. I found they worked great initially however the last couple of maintenance treatments have not been as good and I have barely noticed a difference…but I also could have an unrealistic expectation of what I want my skin to look like. Have also purchased pretty much the entire Prequel line now 😅. Excited for the redness serum which I started a week ago 😊

I was actually interested more in what caused it and how to prevent it rather than fix it

I was just about to comment asking if you could address lupus (I have it) and you brought up the malar rash just as I hit the comments section! Thank you for raising awareness about it!
