TED Talks have millions of subscribers. Yet no one watched this video. Why? Because the viewers of Ted Talke are a bunch of rich, spoiled, privileged people who live perfect lives and who are able to focus on things that educate them and improve their lives. They didn't grow up in addiction or poverty, so they don't appreciate videos like these. As a 28 year old white girl who is on welfare and grew up in a trailer park with addict parents, I thank you so much for this video. People like myself APPRECIATE you. Thank you so much.

After 40 years on this planet and being too busy focusing on other chapters of abuse, dysfunction and all the rest of it I’ve decided to check in with myself at the beginning - being born to an alcoholic mother and until now have always just seen it as “poor mum, poor me’. Time to take a closer look at those traits! X
