Please understand that having a Gold symbol on an offer does not mean that that offer is "high paying." Uber never says this. It simply means that YOU got it INSTEAD of another close driver (who is NOT Gold), because you are Gold. You wouldn't have received it if you were not Gold. That's all that it means. (You are also missing out on offers because Platinum & Diamond drivers are stealing them from you.)

Simply put, to unlock the preferred status, you need to accept so many junk orders that your total earned amount per hour isn’t any better than what you would get by not wasting the time and gas. I’ll continue to use the multi-app approach and reward the customers who understand how to pay for the service.

Mike, your data and information is amazing. Intuition is like 95% great. I am a stats nerd Economist and math teacher. Your tips are almost always on point. The only thing I would add is that the opportunity cost for a driver is different. I person with a 50 mpg car that is fully depreciated with 50k to go? 67 cents a mile makes the profit almost same as revenue.

The real number is about 350 a mile if you wanna pay for the car and make a profit otherwise you’re just trading what’s left of your car as an asset for temporary cash flow. I just did the math and even at a dollar mile. It doesn’t work at two dollars a mile it might’ve worked, but that was with me doing all the work on the car so it really needs to be like 350 a mile if you’re paying for mechanic work if you’re doing it yourself too and if you have an old car that doesn’t cost much to repair.

When i see the "your acceptance rate is lower than average in your area" notice after clicking GO, I flip the script and think to myself "I have higher than average standards compared to others in my area"

The message that says the driver tipped more after delivery nice! Is automated. Can’t believe that at all.

Mike, I just always see games and tricks. Like getting a $10 delivery 25 minutes to find out when I arrive at restaurant that it’s ACTUALLY TWO different restaurant pickups! Or those BS $77.00 for a double delivery in another city when of course it means BOTH orders are prob non existent.

Have you noticed how on Uber eats the food is almost always ready to be picked up, and on door dash it almost never is? Maybe you should consider per minute being a better gauge than per mile

My question is why are we getting these high mileage offers? I’ve been doing UE since 2019 and I honestly don’t remember these trip requests back in 2019-21 of 15 or more miles. Again why is Uber allowing customers to order food literally 20 miles away? I’ve even got offers to 40 miles from the restaurant WTF! Insane. My biggest laugh is I get an offer for Ice Cream and the customer is 10 miles or more away, that’s ridiculous and insane, do these people think we’re packing dry ice in our trunks for this?! Again Mike is exposing the truth regarding these new programs that UE is doing and eventually it will only make the platform even worse than it already is.

This is a scramble by Uber and improves they can't fulfill their order demand

They will need to PUSH tips to make it worth even GOLD on UE. If they call it "high paying offer" they need to set a tip standard by MILE! Oh well, UE is over if they do not push the tips, that is the only way to make this work for the drivers. SMH!

I just do shop and deliver and Shipt shopping. Made $40 an hour yesterday in less time and fuel than just Uber Eats $4 orders.

I have preferred delivery as a driver in St Louis and I have been non-stop complaining about the low frequency of orders and poor pay. I'm also the guy that fights to keep my acceptance rate up, and it just doesn't seem fruitful. I am going to combine it with another delivery service see what happens though.

Worked on Sunday and made 90 dollars in 6 hours. Hopefully platinum is better?!

What do you consider when looking at these offers if you have an ev and solar at home? I have been looking at time instead of miles but I'm new to this gig work.

It costs 68 cents per mile to operate your vehicle. That's for every mile driven, not just the 1 way miles but the deadheading miles back to a hotspot. No one seems to talk about these costs .subtract that from your earnings and a lot drivers are just selling their value of their car.

I was tip baited on a stacked order, this was after they quit showing which customer tipped what. I called Uber Support and they told me which customer pulled back the tip.
