Leah...if you'd been my math teacher I'd be a rocket scientist. Seriously...you have an engaging style and voice...something sadly missing in so many DIY videos...look forward to more.

Married 21 years. Historically, fastest way to start a fight? Attempt to fix something. Thank you Leah, with the help of your videos we now have working date nights. We fix something TOGETHER and then go out to eat after we clean up. The house is on the mend. More importantly, I have rediscovered why I fell in love with my wife. I am grateful.

I bought some of that sealer a little wile ago to make repairs on a lath & plaster wall. There was a spot on the wall that had water damage and the plaster had became crumbly. I didn't want to make a big job bigger, so I soaked the plaster with this product. I let it dry for 24 hours. the sealer bound the crumbly plaster back to a solid foundation. Repairs made, no problem. Great stuff. Worth the $$$. Probably not the exact intended application for this sealer. But it worked.

Great tutorial Just a couple points if you don't mind. I have been doing drywall repairs for over 25 years and can tell you the product being used is watered down white glue. I have been making and using this product for many years. 1 part premium white glue, Lepages or Weldbond brand and 2 parts water. Apply just as shown in the video. One tip when applying your drywall compound.... When applying always thoroughly mix your compound before use and wipe it on one direction and wipe or scrape it off the opposite direction, that works it into the loose edges of the paper better. You can also add the white glue to your paint, 1 cup glue to a gallon of latex paint to cover stains without them bleeding through. No oil paint needed. Good Job Leah

Love you Leah. I have always loved doing things with wood but never have had much confidence. I am a nearly 72 year old woman and my husband is finally putting a heater in our garage. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. We live in Colorado and as you may know working outside is not real easy in the winter even though our winters can be pretty mild. I have watched so many of your videos and have learned so much. Everytime you put something new on that I don't have, I have to get it. I am always running too the hardware store or going on line. Keep up the great work and continue with a smile on your face. In my senior years, I am having fun learning. Thank God for You Tube and thanks to all of you that continue to share your knowledge. This issue has just come up and really didn't want to do drywall because there is no need at this point.

Good advice and well presented. As a commercial painting contractor, this is our go to product to repair damaged sheetrock and sizing before hanging wallcoverings. Good stuff.

Thanks for this, Leah!  In renovating my home I've encountered this problem several times and until now all I could do was use spackle to "seal" the tears and then go over it with a skim of joint compound. It's worked okay but I wish that I'd known of this product a while ago!  Thanks for sharing and I really appreciate what you do!

Leah, your videos have helped me teach my 16yo son how to prep his room for a fresh coat of paint. We had several problem areas to address. I learned a few things in the process, too. Thanks for the awesome how-to videos - they are very helpful and much appreciated!

Great video, Leah! Bought this from a local paint store. Product is excellent! I had a huge drywall tear. After I cleaned up the rough edges with a utility knife and sandpaper I used the GARDZ Problem Surface Sealer, and this stuff sealed and strengthened the torn area nicely! Thank God for YouTube!

Leah,
Thank you so much for sharing your skill and knowledge. We have been removing wallpaper that was put up 20 years ago on walls that were not properly prepared. It has left terrible damage. I found your video this morning and have already ordered the Zinsser Guardz. We hope to start prepping the walls for paint tomorrow.

Leave it to Leah to bring another great product here. Years ago when Zinsser first brought this product to market I was in a paint store and the sales rep was showing it to the store owner. He asked me if I give you a gallon would you try it and give me your feedback on it, I use many gallons of it yearly and it yields excellent results every time.
I am so pleased to see Leah do this video as you will truly benefit from applying it to your walls and ceilings. It's especially useful when removing wallpaper and even with scrubbing the adhesive off there are always trace amounts of residual adhesive left. This product seals the glue and the fresh paint will not soften it and cause problems.
Again GREAT demo Leah, you're a gem.

This is the best instruction and explanation I've been needing. My kitchen walls are horrid because I removed old crappy wood paneling off. It left the exact marks. This helps so much and I can't wait to tackle this!

Thank you for giving me the confidence to decorate my home alone, the thought of it has been so daunting and you’ve eased my anxiety in a major way. Your voice is so soothing!

Guardz is a great product. You can roll it over wallpaper glue, then paint it with no crackle. It smells like water bourn lacquers I've used. I bet it's great for sealing MDF, as well.
