So we aren't getting "actual" raw (ISO, White Balance, etc.) It's basically an expanded Color Depth? Not sure if I'm right or wrong lol

Any camera that outputs raw to an Atomos recorder (baring the X7, which is it's own beast) can be recorded to Prores raw by the recorder. I have some samples on my channel comparing internal FS7 recording to Prores Raw recording

As far as editing goes.. that's what proxies are for.. I've edited 8k .R3D Code RAW footage on a laptop before using proxies.
ProRes RAW is still exciting. Atomos has said, in theory, it is possible to send RAW signal over HDMI, but new HDMI cable may be required (or a new port). If that happens, it will be a revolution in small cameras.

That's exciting the C300 mark1 can use ProRes RAW!! A super cheap camera now, with a dual-pixel upgrade option. The C300 mark1 could never record RAW, even output via SDI, but the C500 could output RAW. Did you mean the C500?

ProRes Raw is an actual real raw file. It has lossless compression applied to it, like RED uses. From Apple's document on it: "ProRes RAW directly encodes the Bayer pattern image".

So if I shoot at 6000k in a room that was suppose to be 2800k I’ll be able to correct it easier? Not sure I fully understand just yet. But still excited haha. I hope cameras coming out can output Pro Res Raw through HDMI, that new recorder looks awesome; imagine an a7(?) or gh5 with It. Not for every shoot but still awesome.
