First, there's denial. It's like your mind saying, "No! this can't be happening." As the situation might feel unreal or too painful.
Next is anger. This is where frustration kicks in, and you might find yourself asking, "Why me?". It's totally okay to feel this way, and it's a natural part of the process.
After that comes bargaining. This is when you start making deals with yourself or a higher power. It's a way of trying to regain control, even if it's not really possible.
Then comes depression. This is a tough stage, but it's also a sign that you're processing things.
Finally, there's acceptance. This is when you start to find a way to move forward. It doesn't mean you're over it, but you're finding a new normal.

I didn’t really understand the stages of grief until I lost my brother unexpectedly to liver failure. I went through these stages myself and I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. Even after almost 4 years, I still have moments where I miss him so much that I break down crying. It helped me to know that I wasn’t the only one who was grieving and that I was surrounded by loved ones throughout that difficult time

I just lost my mom yesterday. It's absolutely devastating. I suffer from PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and Suicidal Ideology. It's a tough battle right now.

Grief is NOT linear. It's not as simple as suggested in this short.

My mourning process is: Cry till dehydration, yell at god for killing another dog, sleep deprivation, calm, dreaming constantly about the reason of grief, hallucinations, calm, cry till dehydration, repeat. This goes on for months.

These stages of grief are guidelines ONLY. Elisabeth Kubler Ross found a good percentage of people experience these emotions - they are NOT imminent to everyone

This might be parts of the grief but definitely not in this order. All of these will happen but you will redo some of these stages.

The theory of "5 stages of grief" originated by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross referred to people who were given a terminal medical diagnosis. It is NOT about grieving the loss of a loved one. Never was, and cannot be used as such.
Think about it: "denial"? Really? You have a dead body and a funeral, so what is there to "deny".
Grief is difficult, but there are no "5 stages of grief".
