Your point about the brain dump and getting out your head is so important.
Having a single central source of getting things out your head is SO important and writing on paper forces you to relearn how to slow down your thoughts to a writable speed without forgetting before the end of a sentence ... digital notepads and journaling is more likely to involve distraction and surfing before your know it.

It's true. I started to journal my thoughts. Most of my thoughts are repetitive. I realised it once I started to sort them out in the form of tree diagrams or mind maps. It helps to refer to them when a new cycle of worry triggers because the root cause of most of them isn't new most of the times.

It’s a negative feedback loop, I believe. The taxed working memory causes worry and anxiety. Worry and anxiety are mentally expensive, which impacts your working memory’s capacity. Round and round.

It makes sense to me. I've had a major increase in my anxiety and after watching your video, I can correlate that I have had a lot of new information on and things to remember in the last week and a half. I lost my keys, yet again today and still can't find them. When I walked into my apartment, I know I had a lot on my mind and didn't put them in the regular place. Since my hands were full, I may have even dropped my keys on the way in. The door was unlocked, as my boyfriend was home. I became quite anxious, but was able to calm myself down and in the morning, I'll look for my keys again.

Make it a habit to put things in the same place like when using tools always put them back in the same place. Names the only way I can remember people's name is associating it with something that has already stuck in my mind, but if you are in my life long enough eventually I remember. But generally the best tool that I have found for general information is Google. And if I'm really interested YouTube videos such as this one, and thousands more on a given subject. Repetition as boring as that may sound worked well for me. The scenery was always changing, but the work was pretty routine had to be done one way but not necessarily in the same order. Social I was always way out in left field too much going on my mind would shut down. Try to get lots of sleep, stay away from alcohol and drugs try to eat right, exercise that's about the best you can do.
