How To Charge A Car Battery - Halfords Charger

How to charge a car battery using a car battery charger. In this case I have used the Halfords car battery charger with the standard and sealed setting. The car I used was an Audi A4 b6, however, this works on all cars.

Sealed - maintenance free
Standard - has ports or holes to fill with de ironised water

Thanks mate. Only reason I watched is because I've never done it before, but my dad, who is no longer with us, charged a lot of batteries back in the 80s as he had some really unreliable cars, and I remember him taking the top of the battery off and adding water. Guess new batteries are now sealed and this is unnecessary as you said. Cheers!

Thanks for uploading, never had one of these types of chargers so when I connected it up I had the yellow charging light illuminated before I even plugged it in, hence a YT search and I came across your video. Why does the charge in the Battery light up the charging LED as I thought it would only go on when current is going into the Battery. Thanks.

Hi. Do you know which battery type is better? Halfords Automatic Battery Charger (like this in video) or Halfords Smart Battery Charger (4A or 6A) I have the same charger like in your video. Regards

Hi i try to charge motorcycle battery seems that didn't charge does the charging light need to stay on all the time ? Mine is showing charging for 5 minutes and goes off and green is on but battery is flat i tested on 2 12v motorcycle battery should i return it ? Thanks
