QD OLED is the best display technology, but it has a major issue that LG OLEDs don’t.

It’s 100% an issue for me. I bought OLED for its deep blacks, not purples lol

I have used both and I prefer WOLED. The blacks are perfect, I love it.

I have an Alienware QD and my screen is not magenta. Under super bright light it’s grayish, but the screen is so bright when gaming it contrasts well and you don’t notice the gray screen.

This is by biggest problem with this technology, besides burn-in. Didn't prevent me from getting the S95C, but if a "fix" is ever found in 2025 or after, I will cough up the money again for a new TV.

I got QD-OLED monitor and this looks bad. but im gonna be honest when i game i dont see any of this magenta. I think my bigger issue is its not TUF certified for blue light. People complaining about head aches and so on. I dont get head aches but i have feeling my eyes is slightly more unconfortable compared to my IPS that stand beside it.

As far as I can tell my MSI MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED isn't magenta in ambient light but rather a Grey Color, better than magenta cause Grey is much closer to Black in the color Space, but still it's not pitch black in Ambient light like my LG B3, but you can't see it watching content unless there's letterbox bars but that's not a big deal for me.

I Was worried when i ordered my new 360 hz qd-oled

But this has not been an issue for me.
The brightness and the colors are keeping the image fantastic for me

Got rid of my Alienware QD-OLED for an LG OLED. Maybe it was the jump from 34” to 45”? The LG is WAY better to watch moving images on so gaming and video. I was in school when I switched and definitely noticed a difference in the PPI (both monitors are 3440 x 1440p) so dealing with spreadsheets wasn’t great on the LG Oled, but also not bad. Wouldn’t want to have it for work. Brightness is also a big gap with the QD winning…obviously.

For a utility monitor. Productivity and gaming…QD OLED can’t be beat. For just gaming and watching video…maybe not creating video. OLED still wins IMO.

This is the biggest drawback and it’s inherent to the tech as the qds r getting excited by ambient light. It really doesn’t bother me tho I’d 100% rather deal with this and have 3 times brighter colors over woled

Its the camera doing this. I have a s95b in my living and the black are only slightly raised under sunlight and perfectly black under artificial. I dont see the purple hue at all on or off

I'm sitting infront of a qdoled display and its not anywere near as bad as in the video. With direct sunlight maybe. But with normal lighting its hardly noticeable on mine.

When the lg g4 is turned off when lights are on the screen; it gives off a reflection of a reddish tint.

It has to be very bright to turn magenta like this. With
one or two ceiling lights in the office it's black.
