My buddy bought those off SnapOn. They’re pretty badass.

Nice video. I am unsure I would ever use such a thing on any sort of pneumatic or battery power tool though. I think the tool is nice to have, sometimes you cannot get in there with a t-handle tap wrench. But I would want to have the shortest and fine tooth ratchet I have so I can better feel how it threads in. The only thing worse than needing to chase your threads is having to re-tap them. I personally use the Lastar (now Lang) 971 thread restore kit and am very happy with it. It is also worth noting that you can make your own by getting yourself the same thread bolt and using a dremel or other tool to cut 3 vertical grooves through the threads. Especially important on spark plugs and O2 sensors.

Great video . I clean every bolt I take out for that reason exactly to make sure nothing breaks or cross thread anything I don’t chase the threads but I use the IPA wire brushes to clean out the threads real quick with my 1/4” impact

I've tapped countless thru holes using those tap sockets. Most times I run them through with my DeWalt impact driver. The key is to use a good spiral point tap, not the carbon steel Irwin junk.

What broken bolt extractor would you advise? Or what is the brand that you use?

I have a set of spline drive sockets that serve this same purpose. Good video Brian.

These is an awesome and highly needed set. Only question I have on these is how is the tap retention? I’ve noticed with some lower brand tap sockets, they don’t hold the taps NEARLY as well as the Mac or Snap-on sets. I have not tried the Lisle set though.

i have them, find most sizes of them are redundant, only use maybe 3 out of the whole set, otherwise they work great
