Spore Gameplay Overview:

From Single Cell to Galactic God, evolve your creature in a universe of your own creations. Play through Spore's five evolutionary stages: Cell, Creature, Tribe, Civilization, and Space. Each stage has its own unique style, challenges, and goals. You can play how you choose — start in Cell and nurture one species from humble tidepool organism to intergalactic traveler, or jump straight in and build tribes or civilizations on new planets. What you do with your universe is up to you.

Spore gives you a variety of powerful yet easy-to-use creation tools so you can create every aspect of your universe: creatures, vehicles, buildings, and even starships. While Spore is a single-player game, your creations are automatically shared with other players providing a limitless number of worlds to explore and play.

Some tips for cell stage (even though you've already left this stage)
Stalk eyes are ineffective, they just give more for creatures to bite. Opt for eyes that go on the top.

If you need to choose one over the other, put spikes on the butt; not the head! As long as there's a predator in the back and not the front, none of them can hurt you when you do this. But preferably have some on the front and back if you cannot bite, and if you can, have some on the back and the side. Or you can have them all over if you have the money for it.

BIG SPIKES. As BIG as possible.

Although this hardly makes ANY difference at all, objectively speaking, making your creature a bright, non-blue color would be best during most parts of this stage for helping you to keep your eyes on your creature. I don't have any trouble keeping track of my creature, so this is really completely skippable, but it is technically an advantage.

Skinny creatures are harder to bite! Go skinny.

Bigger mouths grab food easier! More range! Especially useful if you have spikes on your mouth, which make it difficult to reach food sometimes.

If you're going to use poison, also get some cilia. You can then turn at a super fast speed and surround yourself with poison, thus making it difficult for predators to get you.

Using both carnivore mouths and herbivore mouths lead to omnivorism.

Choosing your diet NOW is important! The diet in the later stages is determined by how much of what you eat in this stage. Keep track of what you are in your evolution progress bar thingy. I don't remember what it's called.

Now note a lot of these things (such as skinny creatures being harder to bite) are just my assumptions and may or may not be true, but I believe they are. Better safe than sorry, in any case.

@blitz when designing your new creature, most of the body parts (limbs, torso and other "attachments") have some degree customisation.

The torso has a spline that you can adjust to make your creature more upright and such. The arms and legs you can make longer, shorter, fatter or skinnier. And the mouths/defensive body parts can be made bigger/smaller and also can be rotated.

I loved playing this game, and it's great to see it on YouTube 😀

this is my favorite game of all time. It might not be very replayable, but the memories I have made about this game has earned it a special place in my heart. Spore is like my version of Minecraft, it might not be critically the best, but it’s the best in my heart
