These extinct animals are ones that I believe could still be alive. Regardless if they are extinct or alive, they are examples of animals in which conservation practices and de-extinction can possibly help save.

As a commercial fisherman myself… the deeper fish go, the oilier they can get… the fat catfish most definitely is going to be in the deepest parts

We need the show back, there are definitely animals out there needing saving and a lot of those have already been given up on. You are one of the only researchers out there actually going into these regions and looking for these animals.

I am almost 50, 49 today actually. I grew up on the east coast of Australia in southern Queensland. As a child the beach was littered with seahorse carcasses, and as I was a child, I thought that was natural. Now I have not seen a seahorse carcass in 30+ years and it makes me wonder if I was seeing a mass extinction back then. Any ideas Forrest?

The seahorse seems pretty likely to be out there still; maybe the catfish too. I'm still pulling for the Tasmanian Tiger even though they didn't make this list.
Did somebody win the bow fishing trip? If so was it me?

9:25 - 9:36 I know that back in the summer of 2019, members of Re:Wild, The Swiss Center for Scientific Research & The Florida Atlantic University went to the Tanoe-Ehy Forest and set up camera traps to find the lost monkey species.
There's a link on their website that shows footage of other rare and endangered primates they recorded.
