One of the only OG’s talking about this style was Ori Hoffmekkler with the Warrior Diet. Greg has done a badass job bringing it mainstream. This style of diet has done wonders for me personally. Keep spreading the good word Greg 🤝

For the general population this is true! Fasting is one of the best ways to make sure a person doesn’t over consume calories & it forces discipline without having to work on it. But for a highly active lifestyle (such as an athletes) and very physical jobs (such as construction, landscaping, oil rigs), fasting often would be detrimental, since there is a high physical activity, calorie consumption should be divided more evenly throughout the day for better performance.

I’m the same age as Greg and I started fasting when I was 17 so about 2011 as well. I had to stop though because I would just get too skinny. I’m more of a hard gainer so I found for me eating more often made it easier to get more calories in, I ended up becoming actually bigger AND more shredded than with the fasting. There is no perfect diet, everyone is different. If you are more of a skinny guy hard gainer and don’t have a big appetite like me then I highly recommend the more bro sciency 4-5 “smaller” meals. That way you actually get enough calories to grow

They said eat like that to gain size. Nobody gets big quick eating in calories surplus. That's why fighters lose so much size during a cut but look massive on fight night

The dopamine system is also an interesting aspect I hadn't thought of yet when considering fasting. But it makes sense: Food can be a reward after fasting 🎉😊

Breakfast is the most important meal. It's the meal you have to break your fast, it doesn't mean you have eat in the morning. Most people just associate it with morning time.

I eat most of my calories before noon from 7 to 12. Then i fast the rest of the daya nd night.
