the carpets reduce the drop damage. change it with a slab and they should be one hit

I just realized how high in the world that zombie spawner generated at. That's crazy! You don't typically find them that high up! Definitely a rare find!

I like how Prowl has set up an opportunity to show how you a set things up in stages. He can always go back to show setting up a trident killer and storage system on spawner farms.

Another great video Prowl! When making water source blocks for elevators I have found it faster to place the first piece of kelp and then bone meal it.

Try a slab to see if that works on that drop distance for the zombies. I’m very curious to see if that would bring them down to the one hit mark. Let me know if you try it and if it works. Great content as always Prowl. Keep up the great work.

If the Wiki is correct then the design still needs some tweaks. Like it will only spawn up to 4 mobs at once before waiting 10-39~ seconds before spawning up to another 4, so dropping them out doesn't really matter as long as they don't congregate. Also it says that Java checks in a 9×9×9 area centered in the spawner and that Bedrock checks in a 16×10×16 area centered on the lower northwest corner of the spawner, so you got the horizontal right but not the vertical, so you'll need to go a block or so deeper to achieve the goal you said.

Thanks for the vid and description Prowl! I used this to create on nearish my base in my realm. Another member had made a normal XP farm for all mobs. This one is closer, but is a skeleton farm based off of the spawner. I only managed to fall to my demise 3 times while making it oops... My weakness spatial awareness while high up vs quick math for yours lol. Ty again!!!

Few extras you can add:

Zombie villager curing: Install Pistons with a button you can hit to push zombie villagers out of the kill chamber to send them to curing Station. You need 1 set of two pistons to retract one wall (this is where they drop into another water stream) then a second set that activates on a slight delay to push them out of the kill chamber. Use water streams to send them to a holding area, water push them into a corner, then pick them out one at a time in minecarts from dispenser to send them to multi-cure.

Obsidian in your kill chamber so you can spam your mending pickaxe without accidentally breaking blocks.

You can also centralise your second water stream in the spawn chamber by digging your channel right in the middle of your 9x9 and putting open fence gates above, then you can put water streams either side and theres no janky area where mobs can bunch up 😊

I started a new world with the release of 1.21 at the same time you started this guide and it's such a fun series to follow along with. Will you turn this spawner into a trading hall? I would also love if you added building tips as you go, even stuff like your tent/base camp and cave entrance. At the moment for me building a house is a bit hard but I can manage a water well or cave entrance.

Here it is finally. The video I've been waiting for, since the last one.

I'm considering adapting this for Strays, which are skeletons that have been in powder snow for 22+ seconds. They would have to be converted before they hit the ground, or the drop becomes pointless. I don't think they are in any zone long enough, so my current thought is to push the stray up 4 extra blocks then drop through 1 powdered snow, 1 cobweb, another powdered snow, and another cobweb.

Love these vids…learned a lot about building spawn farm in 1.20. Built my first farms using these methods in my long term world.

Just had chance to finish watching this. Appreciate your descriptive style as it always covers all the important considerations of playing and building in MC. Have lots of children distraction happening and it's good to get the details layed out. The most useful tool I have is a calculator and a workable knowledge of trigonometry due to span distance chunk loading and mob count. Would be nice to get chunk borders in Bedrock
